D Lee to the Braves for 3 pitching prospects

Lopez, 19, and Tyrelle Harris, 23, and lefty Jeffrey Lorick, 22.

I knew we'd have to do something with the phillies getting Oswalt and a lot of their guys returning from the DL. This will be a big boost.

will rest for 7 days then work out at 1B and 3B. They'll probably add him to the roster when they expand, then let him duke it out with any other RH bats for a postseason spot. If he doesn't get into shape, they'll cut him. Wren cut Tom Glavine after months of rehab, he'll certainly part with Glaus.

His legs have been bothering him for a while, so he's gonna go down to the minors and work a little down there while on the DL. From what I've heard, he will be coming off the bench full time from here on out. I thought maybe he may move to 3rd,but honestly Glaus has been a liability for a month now, and all indications are that Lee will start permanently at 1st, and while Prado heals, he will play 3rd with Gonzalez at SS, and Infante at 2B. Once Prado can move back to 2B, I expect a platoon of Conrad and Infante at 3rd.

Pretty nice guy. Was working out at the byram Courthouse Racquet club, when we got to talking. He pitched at Tennessee, so he knows about Dudy Noble (and said he liked playing there). Has 5 pitches and a top fastball of 92 mph. Said he was happy to have moved up from High A ball in the Carolinas, and was even happier he didn't have to play in the Instructional League this off-season. He said there's about 3 M-Brave pitchers who throw 96-98 mph.

Too bad he's going to the Cubs. Means either- (1) His arm will fall off and he'll never pitch again, or (2) he'll be traded from there and become a Cy Young award winner.
