the D was fine... A Chris Relf fumble cost us the game.
Yes, the fumbles and some bad "up the middle" play calling limited us. However, blown tackles, out of position safeties (minus the Whitley interception), and very little pressure on Mallet? And the "D" was fine? In the atmosphere the fans brought (a true 12th man-type), we should have played much better defense. You can't let big plays nail you like they did. And like 'bama did to us last week. The "D" is regressing at the wrong time. Let's hope they can play balls-to-the-wall next weekend at least.

that's for sure..<div>
</div><div>But the REAL reason we lost was the Relf fumble. It wasn't even a forced fumble. If we score on that drive, like all indications pointed to, BALLGAME. Wrap it.</div><div>
</div><div>End of story. </div><div>
</div><div>Manny DID get us to OT, though. </div>

when he ain't got Wright and White making every single tackle. If it wasn't for those two guys our D would be in a world of hurt.

way too many missed tackles. Broomfield has to learn how to tackle, in particular. But that said, holding Arkansas to 31 in regulation is pretty darn respectable. We also made our share of plays and the defense came up with some big plays themsleves.

I would say we were beat by Arkansas and their first round pick QB vs we beat oursleves.
