We just swept a hot team on the road and a lot of teams ahead of us lost, but lawdy that's a big jump.

Wow! And as noted above…what a response after the UVA series. Let’s handle Campbell midweek (State couldn’t) and win another series against a high RPI team in BC.
Just this morning my wife was saying "...but ND was ranked below us so we probably won't move up much....". Looking forward to getting back to The Bosh tomorrow night, hopefully she and I get back home by 12:30 or 1 Wednesday morning. Plus side is that there won't be much traffic on 86 that time of night.
I’ll take it. I want us in the Top 3 at the end of season. After football and baseball, we need this.
Very well deserved! I’m so proud of our boys. I was nervous going into ND because Radel is incredible. I never thought I would say I was worried about Boston College in baseball, but I am!
BC seems to give us trouble no matter what sport. We'll need to have our mojo working this weekend.
There seemed to be a slight over reaction to our series loss to UVA in the polls. This is an appropriate and well deserved correction based on our performance since that series.
Of course they are! Was there ever any doubt? I can’t imagine them being as good as Arnold, Volini, and Mendes, but I just don’t understand how we can be so good but struggle so much with lefties. I wish they would just focus on being good at ice hockey!
I took my youngest daughter, who is a huge Diamond Heels fan, up to Boston for the series last year. I thought it would be a pretty easy series win, but I was actually pretty impressed with them. I remember freezing on both Saturday and Sunday, so losing on Saturday was not fun. Haugh had a complete game after run ruling them on Sunday, but they did give us a run for our money on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully Jason and Ryan can take care of things on Thursday and Friday so Saturday won’t be stressful at all.
#6 feels a tad bit aggressive to me, just given some doubts I still have about our lineup. But it’s a testament to this program that a publication like D1 feels comfortable giving us the benefit of the doubt to rank us that high.

Except it's not just D1 ranking us that high, We are also 6 in the coaches and NCBWA polls, and 7 in BA.
I not as much worried about ranking as it's a snap shot in time but just keep getting better. I didn't realize BC had three lefty's in the rotation that's a tough match up . Go heels let's get this done.
To be precise, the Diamond Heels have won 12 of their last 13 games, starting with Game 3 of the Virginia series. The only loss was Game 2 of the Louisville series. Go Heels!

Let me clarify what I meant by that. I don't really think the other polls in college baseball are as well thought out as the D1 Baseball poll. I put more stock in their poll than in all the others combined. So my point is, sure, NCBWA or someone else might have us at #6 just because we were good last year and we have a good overall record or something....but for D1 to rank us at #6, it means something to me. I wouldn't personally even have us quite that high. But it sure does feel good that the program is in such a good spot right now that we receive the benefit of the doubt, if there is any, when one of these publications (especially D1) is tasked with deciding "hmmm, who should be higher this week within my top 10, UNC or FSU?"
I don't mean this as a negative post in any way. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I wasn't saying your post was negative... just pointing out that multiple polls, including the coaches, have us ranked in the same range as D1.
FTR, I agree with you that D1 is probably the best one out there.
Somewhat agree but I do think it’s important to host. I’ve been a diehard UNC baseball fan since I enrolled in 2009 and we haven’t won a single Regional or Super Regional on the road in that whole time. Granted, it’s because we have hosted about as often as anybody. But it’s hard to go into somebody else’s park and win in the postseason.
