He'll have to have one of those bottom out years. Which may be coming soon. His talent was completely out-classed and honestly I don't think LSU is elite. This is probably the correct take. Clemson has felt "down" the last couple of years, but they keep winning 9 or 10 games a season. They won't be legit championship contenders, but even in this era, it would probably be program suicide to fire a coach with Dabo's winning percentage.
Reason being is the patch on their jersey says ACC on it instead of SEC. Florida State and Clemson are miserable being where they are at with how that conference looks.
I don't think there's any way those alumni allow Clemson to fall into non-relevancy. Too much money in South Carolina.I think the long term future for Clemson is a 2nd tier conference. They had a great decade with Dabo but I don’t think that’s coming back for them. FSU is a big enough national draw they’ll eventually get back to being a contender & probsbly get a sec or big 10 bid in the next 5-10 years.
Both Iowa and Clemson are elite NFL talent producers, but they are recognized for vastly different strengths. As of the September 2026 NFL roster openings, Iowa has 32 active players on NFL rosters, narrowly leading Clemson's 30 active players.
Per capita Iowa produces 12.5 nfl players, per 100,000 residents, double South Carolinas 6.1.
Iowa has a monopoly on in state talent, Clemson does not competing with South Carolina and surrounding sec and ACC schools.
So, go argue with a fence post Ol’ Purd
It was an enjoyable read, but to be fair, he was shooting fish in a barrel here given who he was arguing with.Damn. That one of the more brutal takedowns I’ve seen.
