You should read more about Watergate if you think it was "private individuals" and not the FBI, CIA, and IRS helping Nixon. https://www.senate.gov/about/powers-procedures/investigations/watergate.htm
Where did Liddy and Hunt work? They worked for the Nixon Election Campaign after working in the white house for a few years.
Thats based on, well reality.
The company announced they were pulling that book along with others.
Dumb 17 of the year right here. Don't guess it ever crossed your mind that a group of people can be both ruthless barbaric ******** and at the same time roll out cutting edge technological advances and almost conquer the world? Ask WWII vets who fought in Africa who they most feared but also respected for his tactics and they will tell you Rommel. Were our soldiers nazi sympathizers?
And as usual, you make claims about someone’s post that they never said, and then argue against them. You love to do that. I never mentioned Hitler. I simply asked if everything Bill Cosby ever did was terrible because he is a terrible person.
You know that the people that own Dr Seuss, are the ones that decided not to sell it anymore. You gonna get all mad when McDonalds stops selling the Mc Rib? Or when Popeyes stops selling the spicy Flounder sandwich? Same thing. They own the publishing rights, they get to decide if they want to sell the book or not.
Maybe your reality because you are part of the left. The company pulled it because if it didn't they would face a public shaming campaign about how they have damaged young children's minds for being insensitive and offensive.

I dont think that book was burned, literally or figuratively, by the left. Thats based on, well reality. The company announced they were pulling that book along with others. And thats after having had multiple revisions of images through the years to make some pictures incrementally less offensive.
If a company decides to not produce a product, is that a form of burning it?
Edited to add- I dont know why you have a pic of that song. Its a song that I dont listen to. Am I supposed to react to it or something?

So is Satanism, your point?
Do you mean like they "helped" Obama when he used them against Trump?
Yes, trying to make a book unavailable because of its content is what is generally meant by book burning in a digital age. So when the copyright holder stops producing it and large companies try to stop resale of existing books on their platforms because of ideological reasons, they are basically book burners, just with updated means.
Except that's not what they said.Decided not to sell it anymore because they decided it wasn't worth facing a smear campaign. They had help with their decision.
That's not what Dr. Seuss Enterprises said. They said the books portrayed popel in a way that was hurtful and wrong. https://www.seussville.com/statement-from-dr-seuss-enterprises/
There has been and was not "public shaming". That's a lie.
I thought is said it's a grey world. If Epstein donated $1 billion to St Jude, I would say that was a good action. I would not say he was a good guy. Hope you can understand the difference. And to help you avoid more confusion, I am also not praising Hitler or Epstein in this post.
That reminds me of a joke that Norm MacDonald told paraphrasingBut on a serious note, if someone is a terrible person, does that mean everything they ever did was terrible? Take Bill Cosby for example, was it terrible when he advocated for minorities to be treated equally in the medical field or when he paid for scholarships for many minorities? Were those terrible actions?
You got any indictments for that?

It reminds me of my grandfather. He served in the Pacific and was amazed at Japanese engineering when he saw it up close. He said as soon as Japanese engines were sold in the US he’d own one. He owned Toyota’s from the 70’s until the day he died and always told me to do the same. I’ve been a “Japanese import” owner my entire life and never regretted it.Dumb 17 of the year right here. The large companies stopped selling it because they were told they had to, correct? The copyright holder pulled the books, from what I read. It wasnt due to ideological reasons that were suddenly created by the large companies.
When is a company allowed to choose to produce or not produce their own product?
And if this is what you call book burning in the digital age(ironic since these are paper books), then a publisher of thought and content isnt ever allowed to stop producing that thought and content without making them 'book burners' by your definition.
