There was an interesting question in there to me. Bianco was asked about how recruiting was impacted by states with additional funding for the "lottery states".

Doesn't Ole Miss have an advantage on Us with their lucky day program? If so , why was that not mentioned?

USM has the Lucky Day program too. Never understood why we don't when they both do... maybe it's because of the amount of students we enroll? Who knows.

I always thought private schools had an advantage in recruiting too. Almost the entire football team my senior year in high school got a "leadership" scholarship to Millsaps, which would have made it nearly free to go there.

Easy Answer...

It is likely because MSU was purposely not included by the LuckyDay Foundation. Frank Day was an OM supporter, yet was from the heart of USM territory and desired for those students from that area that planned to attend USM could receive benefit. That and the fact that OM has simply chosen to "assign" much of their LuckyDay funds to those baseball players from the state of Mississippi.

I just thought it was misleading and wrong for the article to make that excuse for ole miss and not mention their advantage over our program. We don't have the benefit of a lottery , nor the lucky day program , yet We have been to Omaha twice since the hiring of Bianco and have now even finished in the top 2 without the benefit of either a lottery or the lucky day program.seems like a slanted article in my view.
