If we're dead set on running short yardage plays out of gun, I'd rather put dak in gun with 5 wides. At least spread the defense out. Give him pass/run option on all those 3rd and 4th and shorts

We've have probably gotten the 1st downs had we simply given it to a tailback. We are too cute with the offense, in my opinion.

speaking of dak, dak cant run russell's plays just like russell couldnt run relf's plays, what we call an offense will require a total retooling, which in our case, wouldnt be the worst thing in the world. dont mean to derail....back to your point, its beyond idiotic to put a qb that is averse to contact 5 yards deep and asking him to convert.

Russell couldn't run Russell's plays yesterday. That first drive we had two shots at easy touchdown throws and he flat out threw it behind the receivers.

One that stands out to me was the option right from the gun with Dak on 3rd and 1. Yeah, let's make the QB run sideways and go about 15 yards to try to get the first down. Awesome.

We have gotten too soft and cute on O. I don't know if our OL would allow anything else, though...
