We have some great QB depth, best I've ever seen in Starkpatch. I'd love to have them, just to make fun of the Ole Miss folks though.

and via coaching; for the most part and WR's have very little to do with the outcome of "most" games, we do all need to keep that in mind. With that said I would love to have them both because they are talented players but on the bright side we are in much, much better shape at wide reciever today than we have been in the past several years and if these guys go the other way it will sting but it will not have a material impact on our momentum.

Uh, o.k. Don't tell that to Michael Crabtree, A.J. Green, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Eric Moulds, Keyshawn.....and on and on. Big talented wide receivers make a HUGE difference and frequently DETERMINE the outcome. Of course that could be said for most positions. Let's don't pretend that we don't want Brassell and Singleton. We do.

Oh, and ask Mallet how important talented receivers are.....they were three drops away from winning last night.

these two are going to make or break us based on how far we have come from where were were talent wise at WR a few years ago. I think you are reading too much into my comment and yes I would love to have them both and will be disapointed if we don't get them. Hoping for the best.

I disagree, signed Bobby Petrino

They dropped at least two sure touchdown passes last night and several more that would have kept the chains moving.

Arkansas? I don't think so and we both had damn good teams and played to a tie before O.T. We win by whipping your *** on the line of scrimmage and controlling the clock but with the threat of being able to go downfield on you if we need to. We have a balanced offense that I see getting more balanced as we bring in more WR and QB talent. I am just saying these two recuritsare not going to derail us if we don't get them. I guess an easier way to put it would be I would be alot more concerned with losing CJ and some of the lineman we have signed, it is just my opinion. To be successful at the level we all want we will have to have talent at all positions and coaches that can put them in a postion to win, I think all that is coming together nicely and we will lose some recruiting battles and we will win some.</p>

I know they're supposed to be the best in MS this year, but are they really that more athletic or talented than the receivers we have that are built like them?Honest question, I just hadn't gotten the impression that they were supposed to be special players, unless it was maybe Brassell at corner. That's the biggest sell for UM to me. MSU has serviceable wide receivers. Maybe not all sec receivers, but young and athletic and certainly not receivers that Singleton and Brassell can come on to campus knowing that their athletic ability will ensure they beat them out.

Just as much as their talent, I'd like to get both so we can open up two high schools we've historically been more or less locked out of (doubt we'd ever split SP, but no reason MSU shouldn't be pulling 50% of the Madison Central players).

you either have to roll a safety over or play a cover 2 scheme. that opens up a lot.
