Several bad mistakes that made the game much closer than it should have been

He also showed this:

23/34 (68% with a few drops) 268 yards 2TD 0INT

We all know the negatives of last night, but the positives are that Dak, Tubby, Malcolm Johnson, and Robinson looked real good.

The biggest mistake our team (Dan) made was using Bell.

LOL.

IF you don't give Russell a drive, he breaks Russell's single-game passing record for his CAREER last night. He was about 25 yards from it anyway.

How about not getting illegal formations and false start penalties on 3rd and short as well?

Dak was the single best part of last night -- and the ONLY reason we won that game.

Spotty accuracy? Please go back and show more than a handful of receivers that he missed? We had more straight up drops last night than we had "Dak misses".

Dak certainly was why we won last night. He was also why we almost lost. Kind of goes that way sometimes with a sophomore QB.

Passes at receivers feet
QB draws that went 1/2 yard
Taking sacks

And there was that play right before we gave up the safety. Do you remember it?

I can think of numerous things that almost cost us the game, and Prescott is not one of them. Bell's missed FG, Bell's dropped punt that led to 9 UK points. The stupid 4th down play. I thought Prescott played well, especially in only his 3rd SEC start.

Thank God he took the sack on the 4 or Bell would've dropped the punt at the goal line and UK would've recovered for a TD.

We were watching 2 different games then. Dak is athletic but made some terrible throws awful reads. Stats inflated by that blown coverage bomb..but he did make a great play to allude the defenders to be able to make that throw.

Dak throws some nice passes, then some awful ones at times. He did try too hard to get away from the pressure on that sack before the safety and lost A LOT more yardage than he should’ve.

Overall, I think he does a lot more positive than negative and definitely gives us a better chance to win games than Russell at this point.

Damn! If Dak had caught that snap and punted the ball away they never would have got that safety!!!

Seriously, I don't even know what to say. He's got to improve on certain things. Short-hopping throws, throwing the ball away after getting out of the tackle box, etc. Saying that almost cost us the game is a serious reach.

How about instead of coming out after half time and calling about 8 consecutive passes we run the ball since it had been working all night? How about the some of our ***** *** receivers stop dropping balls? How about the retarded penalties that set us back? Did those almost cost us the game too?

If Bell and Whitley don't play last night then we win by two touchdowns and everyone is saying how well Dak played.

The team as a whole played well. We just had two guys on our team that completely killed us.

The guy that was 23-34 with 3 flagrant drops, 2 tds, zero turnovers, and moved the chains with his legs almost cost is the game.

That is fantastic.

Daks accuracy prevents us from effectively running bubble screens. Those throws need to hit WRs in the chest going towards the line, if it's behind or low the play is dead. I remeber Palmer saying "can't miss that throw" after he short hopped a throw too.

He he gives is the best chance to win though. Gotta play him.

This. Whitley, Bell and Mullen are the reasons we did not win more convincingly.

Dak is not perfect, but he is by far our best option. He could sometimes make better decisions on the read, and his touch on quick outs could definitely be better, but overall, he was great for us last night. Especially considering our o-line was abysmal for the most part.

There is no excuse for benching Baker. He is the most consistent player on the team. And he could kick Chuck Norris' ***. That move, by itself, is just about enough to get me on the fire Mullen train.

Bell needs to be pulled off field goals altogether. There has GOT to be a better option.

Also, Jameon Lewis is a badass and has developed into one of the most reliable players on the team. Watching how he has improved over the last 3 years is a huge credit to him and to the coaching staff.

Also, if Nickoe doesn't get ejected, we lose. How many times this year has he missed the TD-saving tackle that Market made?

Personally I hope he doesn't play another snap this season. Its pretty clear that his skills are not tailor made for a Mullen offense.

Malcolm Johnson? Oh, you saw the highlight of him catching a wideopen touchdown. Sorry I forgot about that in the sea of other mistakes.**

I used to be better at telling the difference between trolling and stupidity. On a loss on this one.

How is this on Dak and not the OL? He took the one sack that was his fault. The one at the end of the game was not. He had no prayer to do anything.

How many passes did he throw at receivers' feet last night. He had damn near a 70% completion percentage with at least 3-4 drops that I remember and could have EASILY set our single game passing record under Mullen.

But -- yeah -- let's blame our performance on THAT guy**

He took a couple of bad sacks that he should have thrown away. Otherwise, he played a heck of a game. He does occassionally show his lack of experience, but he is getting better every game.

Yup. He shows a lot of promise but he needs to learn when to throw the damn ball away rather than take a 10+ yard sack and when to give the ball to the back rather than take it himself.
