I wish someone would sue to get rid of those stupid "*****, I'M A DAWG" t-shirts that guy is always attempting to sell in the Junction.

So if Dak wins the lawsuit, does he get to keep the money?

Maybe OM will use this as a way to pay a player:

1. Set up company making items with a player's likeness.

2. Other boosters buy products.

3. Seller keep all profits in an account

4. Player sues the seller and wins

5. Dirty booster money is now cleaned by the judicial system and goes to player

6. Black helicopter refuels

Whoever is responsible for those must be responsible for the "***** IM A REBEL" shirts too. Not moralizing, but those shirts suck ***. Not clever, not funny, over-exuberant, trying too hard—in a word, gay.

The stupidest thing about this is the ncaa requires a player to take action, i.e. a lawsuit, in order to retain his eligibility.

State of Mississippi needs to make it a crime to use an amateur college athlete's image or name for profit.

Wow that is just a terrible sounding shirt.
I swear a ton every day and even I will never understand the appeal of wearing something with swear words on it. Its just trashy. People don't need to be in seersucker suits and sundresses, but they also don't need to display how poor their taste is.

I ran that guy off from our tailgate area this year.

Surely campus police could stop that guy somehow.

It is beyond absurd. I get that the NCAA doesn't have the resources to get into things like this nor would it want it to, but to put the onus on the college athlete??? Yeah, that makes sense. I'm sure that 20-year old guys who aren't even allowed to have a hamburger bought for them are overflowing with the time and money to chase ******** like this down.

Yeah, I actually saw a guy selling both the Dawg and Rebel versions in the Grove before the Egg Bowl. And to address KurtRambis4, I think these shirts carry the Starkville/Oxford 17ing Mississippi on the back.

My comment on the shirts is always "Where does this guy think he is, the University of Florida?"

this attempts to close the loophole that would be a player's uncle/buddy/etc. selling t-shirts. don't know why the dingleberries didn't realize that players would take the easier way out and sign a bunch of carp in a hotel room.

I was wondering about that. Good to know, but it's stupid as heck that a player has to even worry about or spend any time on this stuff.

How much cash does signed carp bring these days?

Good to know, but I still find it to be pretty laughable as to the way that the NCAA handles this. It would be one thing if they were simply saying that it's up to athlete to do something about it if they want to stop people from making money off of their likeness, but to threaten athletes with possible loss of eligibility for doing nothing is insane.
