Way too many 200+ RPI teams on there. I'm perfectly fine with not playing top 20 RPI teams, but there's just no excuse for scheduling that weak. We need to play a lot of 50-150 RPI teams and a few top 50 and 150-200 teams. Nobody below 200.

Really???
Go find me a team with a schedule like that....
Here ya go

*EDIT*
I looked at the top 10 rpi quickly, and closest you will find is Louisville with 3-4 200-210 games and all lower. NOONE else was even close, everyone has 1 or 2 300+ teams

Some of you people are delirious when it comes to scheduling...

....when the time comes that we get snubbed or seeded bad for not having a good RPI.

We're playing 6 with 200+ RPIs this year and that's too many. It's going to hurt our RPI and our eventual NCAA tournament seeding.

As to the first one: What? Since when do we play Valley every year?

Secondly, who says we have to platy one of the worst teams in America every year for the Jackson game? If I lived in Jackson I would like to see us play legit competition in that game every now and then.

Guesses 1 & 2: There have been rumors/speculation about Seton Hall and they are ranked 101 in the RPI as well as New Mexico State which is 117.

Wilder guesses 3 & 4... College of Charleston 102 (no schedule out yet) and Oakland 122 (no schedule out yet-- supposed to make some noise in the Summit).

The Coliseum is worthy of such a ****** opponent.

Ok...I was wrong on that, I was remembering the Valley NIT game a couple years back as previously playing them. Thought we had played some other games with them too. My bad.

On the second, that will never happen. If there is a good game to be played it's going to be on campus during the christmas break to make the most money off of it.
A game like that can be moved to jackson, a top 150 game such as the Mizzo or Miami series we just had would never be moved there.
Yes the opponent could be better than a cantennary though. This years game vs their walkons will be just be out of control.

and i'm stoked we are playing them...that is great for our program...W Kentucky is still a mid-major...good game when their rpi is good, but nobody is going to confuse them with playing Illinois or Purdue

My aunt has worked in their library for at least the past 20 years. I may never live it down if we screw up and lose to them though.

Out of that group the only ones we'll be in danger of losing to will be UCLA and Missouri.
