I'm curious as to why I can't comment on a Thursday night game and should worry about our game Saturday when I have absolutely nothing to do with MSU football aside from showing up to the game and being one of 50K that cheers on the team.

Stop it with the ******** fan cliches. The Rebs came in #4 and imploded in front of the entire nation. I sure as hell am going to get a laugh or 2 about it. I've heard more "hotty toddys" from more bandwagon Ole Miss fans in the last 8 months than I've EVER heard in my lifetime (no I wasn't born in the leather helmet era when Ole Miss fandom was at an all time high).
...I'm not one of those who want Ole Miss to lose more than I want MSU to win. But I've heard so much **** from family and friends who are Ole Miss fans about this season, that it definitely pleases my soul to see them lose tonight. It has nothing to do with MSU.

I'm happier with Ole Miss losing this game than I would be if we were to win ours. Hell, since LSU is their major rival they will probably be pulling for us anyway. I want them to be unhappy, so I will pull for LSU because I know how sad they will be to see LSU beat us.
You think the reason MState will lose to LShoe this Saturday is because we post about the OM-USC game?

Right now they are just another SEC team that was overated and mostly by attrition they were #4.
They had a great finish to the '08 season and beat the **** out of a good TTech team so I would expect them to be ranked in the Top 10-15 to begin the '09 season.
Do I think they are a Top 25 team? Yes
Do I hope they lose another SEC game and lose to us at home? Yes
Do I hope they beat uat? Yes
Would I like to see them playing in Atlanta anytime in December--Ever? NO
Would it bring me more pride and joy to see us beat Lsu Sat. than om lose on a Thursday night to a pretty good SC team? Damn Right.

As much as I enjoyed watching UM go down tonight (and I was yelling like a madman throughout the game), I actually enjoyed our win over <span style="font-style: italic;">Vandy</span> more. That's right, Vandy. So while any day that UM loses can't be a complete loss, a MSU win means much more to me.
But I will revel in their loss for the next two days. Until our game kicks off I'll enjoy the hell out of this.
