Forrest Moore starting, Cody Freeman hitting clean up, Ryan Collins in LF hitting 5th. Connor Powers needs to step the 17 up and play like he's been there before today.

to finally pull the young pup. We wouldn't want his confidence shattered or anything, would we? </p>

no need to worry. Polk has everything under control. He owns the state in baseball

Not a bad idea. Take him out now and then start him on Sunday. Of course, I would have never had him pitching today in the first place. When Polk announced that Pigott was starting Saturday, I'd have moved Lynn to Saturday.

to pad his stats no matter when he throws. Hell, he could throw all 3 games and pad his stats.

I don't really follow baseball, or my level of piss-offedness would be about 100x higher. Hopefully getting skull-17d by Ole Miss will wake some people up so we can get rid of the clown in charge. I defended him after the CWS run, but it's obvious now that that was a fluke.

We need to get taken to the woodshed by OM this weekend. It's the only thing that may wake the remaining Polk supporters. If it was against another team it wouldn't be that big a deal, but let us get swept (and badly at that) by the Rebs on our home field and we might actually see some light bulbs go off.

Don't forget, we're playing at home under immense pressure to perform. Bless their hearts.

hint: if not for the 1st inning, it'd be the beginning.

I'm not too pissed off, I could see this coming from a mile away. I'll be all right either way. We win, we beat Ole Miss, yay. We lose, one possible step closer to getting rid of the man who's holding our baseball program back.

Yeah. I've never understood the sheep who say baseball is a marathon, not a sprint. Guess what, if you're 3 miles behind the leaders 5 miles into the race, you damn well won't be winning it.

Exactly. It is hard to get to pissed off at something you see coming from a mile away

I reached the point of apathy regarding our baseball program about 4 years ago. We're going to wallow in mediocrity until at least a couple of years after Polk decides to retire. And I don't see retirement happening for at least another couple of years.

The Palmeiro Center?

I will say that Polk probably wouldn't make as big a deal out of it as Croom did.
