That's why we're 3-6 with a staff that calls plays as if we're in the nfl. Riley and Co has not done any favors for this team. Come to reality and leave the bo bashing in the pastI'll blame Bo for a long time. He could and should still be here, but he was to bullheaded about being himself and not being a head coach.
At least he was just bullheaded and stubborn.I'll blame Bo for a long time. He could and should still be here, but he was to bullheaded about being himself and not being a head coach.
Bo checked out mentally at Nebraska years before he got fired. Remember who had his name floated as a replacement at Penn State when Joe PA was fired?
When Odighizuwa didn't commit to Nebraska and picked UCLA IMO, he felt recruiting was too hard here.
Riley deserves a lot of blame, but I don't think he had any idea how messed up this program was before he took the job.
Had Bo had the desire to do all that a HC needed to do to be successful, he'd still be here. But it was too hard, so he bought his time, dared to be fired, and got his wish. But even he didn't realize how unemployable he was.
When Riley came here he took over a 9 win program. It was not as bad people make it out to be. I understand there isn't championship talent on this team but we are better than what the product on the field is showing. I agree it was time for a change after seven years if you can't win a championship with players like suh and ameer. But one missed recruit was not going to nor did it break bo attitude towards his foodball team at the time, all coaches miss out on big time players. Look up Odighizuwa and see how his career worked out for him. Bottom line Riley and company have a big hole to dig out of and nothing is going to change due to Riley's history. I agree. The hole has became a mudslide
