For making me root for the Celtics. As a lifelong Laker fan, I have naturally always hated the Celtics.........until this series. You just gotta respect the way Rondo is playing, the way Pierce and Allen are fighting through their injuries, and the way Garnett is turning back the clock. Plus I loathe the Heat anyway.

If they don't blow people out they are screwed. He has no idea how to coach a tight game.</p>

but the team just lacks heart and conviction I yet they expect everyone just to roll over for them. I don't hate the franchise of the Heat, but this particular team needs to be blown up.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

Even though I pretty much quit being a big Lakers fan when Shaq left I never thought I would ever root for the Celtics. But it would be so good to see the Heat choke again.

Name one other team left in the playoffs that could lose an All-Star and still win it?

OKC - Lose Durant? Nope. Lose Westbrook? Nope
BOS - Lost Rondo? Nope. Lose KG? Nope. Lose Pierce? Nope.
SA - Lose Duncan? Nope. Lose Parker? Nope.

Witha healthy Chris Bosh, KG wouldn't be able to roam free on defense preventing Miami from what they do best, which is attack the rim. If the Heat lose, it is not even close to a choke job.

And spare me the "Bosh played last night" nonsense. He's not right and won't be, even if they go all the way to game 7 of the finals.

Name one team besides Miami that could lose an All-Star (is Bosh really an All-Star btw?) and still have 2 other All-Stars playing. That's why this is considered a choke job.

this year, but perenially he is.

I just have a hard believing that another team could love a very integral part of their gameplan and still win. Why people treat Miami differently is confusing, although I understand why the public hates LeBron.

As for the Heat hatred, I feel like most of it stems from people rooting against LeBron, which is WAY overblown. I've tried to wrap my head around the LeBron hate, and I just don't get it. I think it's a combination of 2 things. 1) He was crowned as the next coming of Jordan when he was 18 years old, and he's failed to live up to that hype (who could?) and 2) The Decision debacle. Yes he handled it wrong, but... how many Cleveland fans are there really?? If you're not a Cavs fan, you need to get over the Decision thing. It's petty that some people outside of Ohio still hold a grudge for that.

They are not playing the 1986 Celtics here. They are playing a team whose best players, outside of Rondo, are all way past their primes and playing with injuries. The Celtics were not even a very good team this season. If the Heat were losing 3-2 to OKC or a healthy Chicago team then you would have a point.

and if one of them goes down, none of them are winning the finals. As much as I dislike the Heat, I can't consider them losing this series a choke job especially since Boston proved to be a difficult mathup against them. Last game, however, I feel they did choke. Boston played horrendously in the first half and the Heat couldn't pull away from them. Other than that... if they lose this series... I can't consider that a choke job especially with Bosh going out.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>

This Celtics team was under .500 going into the all star break. They aren't any good and will be swept by Oklahoma in the finals. I don't like Lebron because he is one of the most talented if not the most talented player to ever play the game but doesn't have the heart, desire, and will to get it done. If Kobe had Lebron's size and athleticism he would have 15 rings.<div>

They root against him because he's probably the most naturally gifted athlete of all time and he (1) doesn't care about winning (or at least it's way down the list of what he cares about), (2) doesn't like competing, and (3) doesn't like the big moment.

All of that would be forgiven, as it least a couple of those apply to a lot of well-liked athletes. But take the combination of being one of if not the most gifted basketball player of all time and the three factors mentioned (although I think (3) is what bothers people the most; say what you want, but America doesn't like weakness), add to it the fact that he talked predicted multiple championships in Miami before he tried to play 2nd banana to wade in the playoffs, add to it the fact that he acted like an *** with the decision (the most forgivable thing, as I think he really thought raising money for charity was justification for the whole thing), and his general reputation for being a prick, and you've got a pretty good recipe for a hated athlete.

He has got to coach them, right? Someone does.

I see some major changes ahead if they don't make an amazing run.

If they were healthy, they would be a force, but I will at least say that no matter what, you can't count them out. Even though I am a Thunder fan, I can't say with absolute conviction that the Thunder will sweep the Celtics (although they are more than capable). One of the best redeeming qualities I have to give the Celtics is that they are exceptional when playing under pressure. Unfortunately for them, however, so is the Thunder.<div id="LCS_336D0C35_8A85_403a_B9D2_65C292C39087_communicationDiv"></div>
