I agreeIf we'd hired Mullen instead of Lebby (and I don't think that was realistic, so I'm just being hypothetical here), he would be several games ahead of 11-21 (3-18) right now.
Never understood the Hevesy hate. Still don’t. We had some good offensive lines when he was coaching us.Bring back Heavesy first. This place hated him, but he nearly always had a serviceable offensive line. We haven’t really had one since.
If we had hired Mullen and K1 stayed healthy, we would be in the top 5-10 and he would be job searching all over again. But that would still be better than where we are for the immediate future. If we'd hired Mullen instead of Lebby (and I don't think that was realistic, so I'm just being hypothetical here), he would be several games ahead of 11-21 (3-18) right now.
It was his off-putting personality and recruiting. Although I think he was responsible for Dak.Never understood the Hevesy hate. Still don’t. We had some good offensive lines when he was coaching us.
If K1 stayed healthy we probably wouldn’t be having this discussion. But you’d be 100% correct about Mullen job hunting. If we had hired Mullen and K1 stayed healthy, we would be in the top 5-10 and he would be job searching all over again. But that would still be better than where we are for the immediate future.
It all culminated in us losing the OL from West Point that was a 4 or 5 star to Alabama.Never understood the Hevesy hate. Still don’t. We had some good offensive lines when he was coaching us.
Remember that Arnett isn't matched very well with Lebby's offense.Nevermind I’m seeing how Arnett 2.0 is going
And turned out that player was very average, at best.It all culminated in us losing the OL from West Point that was a 4 or 5 star to Alabama.
People acted like losing a player to Nick Saban during the height of his AL days was unfathomable.
It was the dumbest **** I'd ever seen, well until now...where we have people claiming Puckett is playing bc his dad is paying the school.
Yep. Scott Lashley. And turned out that player was very average, at best.
Mullen would have lost at least one more game. Probably Missouri.Nevermind I’m seeing how Arnett 2.0 is going
The rumor was Hevesey had been assigned the local Golden Triangle as his recruiting area. He also missed on Starkville native AJ Brown that same recruiting class. But yea, Hevesey is A much better OL coach than Phil Chodeholt.Yep. Scott Lashley.
He was probably as good as what we have now, but that's not saying much.
Like you said, he was average...which makes people freaking out over losing him back them even more laughable.
Like i said, people losing their minds over Lashley committing to Nick Saban and AL is laughable at best. The rumor was Hevesey had been assigned the local Golden Triangle as his recruiting area. He also missed on Starkville native AJ Brown that same recruiting class. But yea, Hevesey is A much better OL coach than Phil Chodeholt.
It was his off-putting personality and recruiting. Although I think he was responsible for Dak.
You don’t think Merlin manages 24 points out of the exact same roster?Nevermind I’m seeing how Arnett 2.0 is going
No more Mullen ever again! He was personally responsible for losing at least two, possibly three, EB's because he was texting AD's with other schools during the game. Seems like a lot of people have forgotten this.Remember that Arnett isn't matched very well with Lebby's offense.
Mullen might be one of the only guys who has enough cache in Starkville to come in a galvanize the admin, fanbase and players.
He was personally responsible for losing at least two, possibly three, EB's because he was texting AD's with other schools during the game.
He had injury issues in high school. Not saying it’s a toughness thing. Some guys just have more bad luck with injuries.I'm just not seeing all the talk about KT not being durable talk. He got an injury that pro athletes commonly get and is almost impossible to play through or come back early from. He tried to tough it out and it ended up making it worse and cost him the season. Unless my memory is shot to hell this is his first injury in college. I just don't see one injury earning the not durable label.
Fact. Look at our NFL output before and after Mullen. The shear number of players that he put in the NFL would suggest bias from the homeboy media types who got their feelings hurt when he left
I don’t think its a memory thing as much as it is only the most naive and gullible believe **** like that.No more Mullen ever again! He was personally responsible for losing at least two, possibly three, EB's because he was texting AD's with other schools during the game. Seems like a lot of people have forgotten this.
I have seen what Arnett can do, with a decent stable of players, So, I'll discount this.Nevermind I’m seeing how Arnett 2.0 is going
This^ He was banged up pretty good the last game and the Oline nearly got him killed in Charlotte! He was hurt last year filling in for Shapen. Which is why it was stated by so many in the preseason he’d never last all year this year.
Let kamario go, he’ll never see the football field again, just like Puckett. The face of the team needs to be strong and durable, not a pre Madonna wussy with heavy gold chains. Everything about this team is hard to. Like
This. He gets a bad rap for recruiting but he seem to find talent not stars. He had a knack for it. Sometimes that's more valuable. Often times at msu you better be able to develop guys because people will always steal players away. Better develop the next man up. Lebby hasn't developed anyoneThe shear number of players that he put in the NFL would suggest bias from the homeboy media types who got their feelings hurt when he left
