According to the Dogwood District website, Bartlett Yancey, NC has forfeited their game against Dan River. Is this true?

I can state unequivocally that this is incorrect. There has been no forfeit. They are not on the schedule for BY.

However, Dan River has BY on their master schedule. They are scheduled to play each other on Sept. 4 at Dan River.
The Dogwood District website has been changed. It is no longer a forfeit. It now says the game is cancelled. I wonder if Dan River will try and find a replacement for BY.
I wonder what the circumstances were that got it to this point? Just one of those things, I guess. Yeah, I hope they can find a game somewhere. They almost assuredly will have to find an opponent in NC or maybe even a private somewhere. You hate to see the kids, especially the seniors, only have nine games.

Something is fishy. Did BY back out because they were afraid of getting beat ? Game should be a forfeit, not a cancelled game.
In my opinion DR should have never scheduled BY when putting together the schedule. You gain nothing by playing a weak out of state team.
