Just curious in Nelson or Dan River? Nelson is forever upsetting someone at home or giving them a close game at home. That long mountain bus trip creates a nice home field/court advantage for Nelson sometimes lol but I also wouldn’t wanna constantly be driving that far south on 29
They played this one at Dan River! I agree with you though! It’s been a minute since Nelson had a squad!
Wildcats' first game since December 28 and it seemed to show in the 2nd half. Nelson has some tough athletes and made it to the Dogwood Championship game last year. DR led by 11 entering the 4th but did not play great in the final quarter. Shot selection wasn't the best while the Governors chipped away at the lead and actually tied the game. Wildcats must realize that they are going to get everyone's best effort the rest of the season as they got a target on their back. DR will have another tough game as they go to Appomattox County this Friday.
Nelson is not bad. Played us tough at their place in early December, they come up here on Monday for round two. They played 6A West Potomac tough, lost 66-56. Wilson and Carter are the real deal, and they have good size and decent athletes. I think they can upset Dan River once by the season's end.
That trip to Lovingston is a tough one for sure.
