I like the idea of saving a link to this article and just posting it everywhere in social media you come up on anything positive Hugh Freeze for the next few years.

Pretty easy way to make sure any recruit who doesn't know the story at least has a chance to see it.

And very easy to do.

It is just hard to imagine Cohen selling himself out for a few more dollars. There is no way he is on board with this hire. Eventually he is gonna be introducing Freeze and explaining all the positives that led his search to settling on this fine Christian man. Must be nice to be so spineless.

This was well covered on this board, but it’s interesting to see a national reporter’s take.

Beaver is perfect for auburn. A sleazy coach and an equally sleazy program. Both desperate to regain relevance and both willing to do literally ANYTHING to achieve it. AU knows it won't end well but perhaps they can get a golden year or two out of it before the feces hits the fan. Good luck IB. You are going to need it.

Going in Cohen had to know that Freeze was the number one or two candidate. He also had to realize he would not have final authority on the hire.

Why is it that not one reporter will at least guess that the escorts could have been for recruits, rather than for Hugh Freeze? They speculate on all sorts of things in the press.

I never once thought they were for recruits.
Why not? My memory on the details is a bit fuzzy, but I seem to recall that one of the escorts was located in Tampa, and Hugh called her during a time period in which he was nowhere near there. But there was a major Ole Miss recruit in the area.

I've always wondered why reporters seemed so hesitant to pursue this angle. It would be a huge story, much bigger than a high-profile person cheating on his wife, which is sadly all too common.

Did any of them investigate and determine that Hugh was involved in consumption only, rather than distribution?

The guy's a snake-oil salesman and hasn't changed a bit. He's still acting like he's he victim in all this in his press conference today.

I would think a possible under age kid (recruit)that received some type of sex from an escort paid for by an adult being in a prominent position would be frowned upon by other organizations that have much more power and jurisdiction than NCAA did.

Somehow this has never been brought to the surface.
