I got nothin....oh wait, he doesn't coach Defense

He gets us to Bowl games
He's now running a balanced running attack
And he's our HC.

That being said, the F'er needs to get a QB that can play the position.

Like I said in another thread, I like SH......but....he's just a few inches too short.

One positive for me, and many others, is that I simply don't care as much anymore. I used to read up on this crap all the time, attend tons of games, go all out for gameday, etc. Now, I'll turn the game on for the first Q, then likely turn it off and do something more productive after we start stinking it up. It's more like watching a comedy movie than actually being a fan.

I expected this thread to not get very many replies, and I was right. Therefore, I'm not sure why DH gets so much love from those living in Fairy Tale Land

This board is Fairy Tale Land and coaches are expected to win every game or face a "message board firing" again and again.

I,m sure Dana's just shaking in his shoes, that a bunch of fat arm chair football experts is crying like babies in their pitiful world of gloom and doom. I.m a mountaineer fan and have been longer than most of you were born. I don't necessarily like whats happening, but at the moment Dana's our coach and these players are our team and both deserve at least until the year is out our support. If you don't agree I could care less. Wish some of you would go and be a Marshall or a Pitt fan they need your tears.

I agree with most of this. This year will be what it is. However, if things go south over the next 3 weeks then our AD needs to do some basic math. How much is saving some money in the short term worth relative to the national reputation of our program? Booster support? Season ticket sales?

If this team tanks...
1) it won't be the first time under Dana
2) Lyons will need to look in the mirror to find fault in not doing due diligence this offseason.

I'll frame this by saying I hope we win every game the rest of this season and win the B12 and Dana coaches here for 25 years and wins a couple NCs. I hate unrest, but I hate mediocrity even more. Right now WVU is a mediocre program.

Win or lose, $30 million a year will come to WVU from the Big 12. That's triple the best payday ever from the Big East. W's are harder to come by, but Oliver Luck found a way to have the $$$'s pouring into the coffers.

Silver line, huh?

OK ... I'll bite.

Dana has put together a team that could be VERY competitive, even make a run at the B12 title, if it only had a QB.

That's the thing, to me, that is most frustrating. This program isn't as far away as some would think. But Dana can't quite get it over the hump.

I think he made the "safe" choice with giving SH the start, but now he really needs to turn it over to Crest and move on for next season
