1. Dee Arrington, S: MSU
2. Zach Jackson, S: MSU
3. Jermaine Whitehead, CB: MSU
4, C.J. Johnson, MLB: MSU
5. Marcus Mayers, OLB: MSU
6. Malcolm Faciane, TE: Bama
7. Nick Brassell, WR: OM
8. Donte Moncrief, WR: OM
9. Cody Prewitt, S: OM
10. Senquez Golson, CB: OM
11. Aaron Morris, OL: MSU or OM
12. Tobias Singleton, WR: MSU or OM

It looks like 11 of the 12 might stay in-state.The most any school has ever gotten is MSU with 6, twice. MSU has a chance to get 7 if they can swing Morris and Singleton. There are 8 WR's and DB's. No QB's, no RB's, and no DL. Biggest snub in my opinion is Joe Morrow. Cody Prewitt and Zach Jackson are the biggest suprises.

I thought that I was reading that he was a heavy lean to MSU a couple months ago. What has happened with that? Did he lay eyes upon the IPFor something?

We've been hearing Golson is down to Ole Miss, Bama, and FSU with OM having a lead for him.

so MSU led from him back in March. He vistied OM in April and said it felt like home so he switched OM to the lead followed by FSU, Bama, and MSU has dropped to 4th.

The 2 concerns with Golson are: 1) he may go to the MLB draft and 2) even if he does go to college he will play football and baseball so some coaches don't want to fool with that.

He has great speed though and I think it's just a case of Coach Price at Ole Miss doing a good job with him.

my reading has led me to believe that Singleton is Ole Miss or out-of-state.

What have I missed?

Also, I'm surprised that Maiden (the OL from Wilkinson County) wasn't included. I think he has to be considered a State lean.

and could have easily been named Dandy Dozen. One concern with Maiden is that he seems set on playing DT in college even though most coaches think he projects better as an OL.

As for Singleton, if your reading consists of Ole Miss boards then yes, that is the message. And of course there is the Bobby Hall factor. I would say OM is probably the slight favorite right now, but if OM signs Worthy, Brassell, and Moncrief I just can't see Singleton going there as well. Everyone knows that Nutt is a run first coach.

In addition, there have been some MSU posters who have talked to Singleton and it appears that we have a decent chance to land him. His favorite player is Percy Harvin so Mullen can play up that angle and MSU is in desperate need of another playmaker. Morrow and Singleton are our top 2 Targets at WR.

on this subject to McCready (I think he's more credible than Yancy) and whatever national writers interview prospects Ole Miss is after.

State's beating out Ole Miss at Madison Central would surprise me, but not any more than the Pegues deal did.

had pulled any scholarship offer to Singleton awhile back for some reason (i figured rebel douchebaggery). I do subscribe to the theory of Nutt's offense not being very good for multiple wr's. In his offenses, even at ark., one wr and a couple rbs would have good years. The rebels have signed quite a few wrs the last couple years and are looking at signing quite a few this year. They also don't appear to have much of a qb at this point. I also figured singleton would go to om or out of state.

to pull any scholarship offer that early in the game. There are so many things that can happen from one Feb. to another. That sounds like something that Croom would do, and I would be upset at Dan if he did something like that.

Sometimes a situation like Derek Pegues happens.

People act like MC is some Ole Miss haven- and it's not. Yeah, they've gotten most of the better football players, but there are several former MC players that have gone to MSU as well, and we've gotten a lot of atheltes from there in other sports. And as far as Bobby Hall- we've also gotten a couple of his guys to like Chris Rainey.

I'm not saying that we're going to get Singleton, but it's not like it's some impossible scenario either.

back about March or April. Something like his offer had been pulled because we were pretty muchgetting blockedoutfrom receiving any interest from him because of the people around him. I actually think it helped us out ifwe did pull his offer, because that's forced him to come to these camps this summerand show the coaches that he does have an interest in us. He'll probably still go toOle Miss, but I think we've gotta hell of a lot better chance to sign him than we did back in the early spring.

Mullen was trying to get Tobias to put forth some sort of effort on his side before MSU wasted time on him. That approach appears to have payed off, if just a small amount. We are at least in the game now.

I wouldn't be surprised with anything that happened with him this year. I think the same way with Whitehead. We could end up with Whitehead at UM and Singleton at MSU. It's going to be interesting in Mississippi this year with several close battles.

If there was going to be a MAIS athlete, it was going to be Prewitt. Jackson was a bit of a surprise considering he was injured last year but he's definitely got talent.

That is some of the stupidest **** I've ever heard. Your and idiot.
Well, I've heard you say a lot of stupid **** on here, so I guess I should feel honored to be called an idiot... Anyway, tell me why it's so damn stupid. We weren't making any progress with him before thatwasreported, so what would it hurt to pull his offer and make him prove his interest to our coaches?

Winning games this fall should definitely help us with the 2012 class, but not so much with this 2011 class except for the few prospectswho are truly on the fence. Most of these guys have already formed pretty strong opinions on where they are going. One example, of the top 22 QB's in the country, 21 are already committed. Another example, we could have 40% of our class committed after next weekend.

But winning some early season games couldn't hurt. Neither would showing some of these WR prospects that we are capable of throwing the ball. But that brings up with whole chicken/egg theory. We don't really have the outside guysor the QB to be a really good passing team. By the way, it looks like we might not sign a QB this year especially if Rivers leaves LSU with an offer.

it would help us pull 2 or 3 surprises if we pull out a 8-4 or 7-5...

QB recruiting is killing me...we need "that guy"....if ******** from Tupelo transfers in though, it would give us 4 QB's in 2011, which is more QB's than we ever had under Crooms

but I have talked to several members on the team that have all said the same thing. Dylan Favre is the real deal according to them. How true that is when gametime actually comes has yet to be seen though. Like I said, I'm just going by what they told me, so I dont honestly know for myself.
