Ive seen some harsh threads here from time to time but thats their leading receiver in catches, tds and yardage.

Louisville is 1-3 against teams with an above .500 record. They beat the scrubs of the ACC and padded their record. They nearly lost a couple of those games, the FSU game was good, other than that, meh. Without Jackson, they may even have a losing record.
One guy says he was a waste and they should have let him go to OSU or UK. That's funny, I didn't realize it's was their choice and not his. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Typical UofL fans. Quick has done a good job at Uof L, but they blame their Wide Receiver for their loss. I don't know how many of you read in the CJ, where Petrino threw Jackson under the bus. Basically said he cost them the game by trying to get the extra yard.

They're getting hard up for scapegoats IMO. The games I've watched UofL play Quick has performed well. I'm sure he's not beyond drops occasionally, but he's a very good route runner and gets open against most anyone they play against.

I am going to disagree with many in this thread. Quick has talent but he seems to lack heart. My son is a student at UofL and he told me before the game that if Lamar threw the ball mostly to Smith that UofL would win the game but that if Quick was targeted too many times, UK would have a chance. I thought that was an odd thing to base the game on but sure enough, Quick had some key drops and then there was a 3rd down play where Quick caught the pass and ran out of bounds about a yard shy of the first down marker. He could have easily gotten the first down had he tried but he took the easy way out and forced a 4th down situation.
The other thing I take issue with is blaming the fans for criticizing him. Many on this message board were very critical of Patrick Towles. He wasn't all world for us but he did have heart and gave plenty of effort. I would be much more likely to give a guy like Towles a pass than I would be a player who just didn't give it his best shot.

I know they lose Quick and the Star TE. After that I have no clue. They should be more worried about offensive line than any other position though.
With all due respect, I hope people see this and can learn a lesson from it. Now some of you see what it looks like when fans completely trash one of their own players.

That frustrated me but I tried to stay away from an argument on here. We're all cat fans so we're all one happy family, but again, hopefully this will serve as a lesson and people will think twice about bashing on each of our own.

That's a lot if you ask me. Regardless of who they have returning, those are major losses for the most part.

These kind of situations bring the worst out of some fans. Patrick Towles still gets blasted on here from time to time and he doesn't even go to UK anymore. Some posters were ready to pack up Dorian Baker's stuff for him so he'd leave UK. I'm not familiar with UL's board, but I think the posters that do that stuff here relish the opportunity to blast players and throw it in the other fans' faces when the player doesn't perform well. It's my least favorite part of message boards.
If they're top ten preseason, it'll be because of Lamar Jackson. He's losing 3 great weapons and that's extremely hard to replace. They had a terrible offensive line and if that area doesn't improve, I can't imagine they have the success next year that they had this year. Maybe they have some extremely talented guys that redshirted, who knows. I'm sure Louisville fans will say that's the case. Either way, they're gonna have to prove it before they get any respect nationally I believe.

My Louisville fan friends seem pretty comfortable with the backups they have at receiver. Not so much tight end but they aren't worried about the position. I don't know enough about Louisville to know if thats valid or not but........ RELOADING :uzi:[eyeroll]
Went over and trolled a little Saturday evening and yes was shocked at what was being said about Quick, reminded me of Jason Osbourne in Basketball back when Crum was still there.
