OM is spending $13MM to add 400 seats to Swayze field. Unless these are high-dollar premium seats, how on earth will this pay for a $13MM expansion?

Same goes for Vaught Hemingway. Spending money to bowl in the end zone to basically move the student section. I realize premium seating will go into the 10 year old south end zone, but does this make any financial sense at all?

Of course, this is just keeping up with the Jones' more than anything.

Scott S.can be blamed for a lot of things, but dumb facilities expansions just for the sake of expanding them is not one of them. At least we are seeing a return on our money.

It's not just seating. "The $13 million project, part of the $200 million Forward Together campaign, will include a new baseball performance center, a field level club, additional box seating, a rooftop plaza down the first base line and an expansion/realignment of the left field terrace." Not sure how much of that is actually gonna happen, but that is what was released. Also the students need to have their own endzone. As someone who just graduated 4 years ago and who sits in the south endzone now, there's is no doubt they have outgrown their section. There's not enough seats for everyone at all. Now they can sell more student tickets and make seating more comfortable. The original plan (from the Boone era) was to mirror the south endzone. Bjork realized this was too much and scaled the expansion down and figured out to get the best bang for our buck.

"Baseball performance center?" No sarcasterisks. What exactly is this? An indoor facility like Palmeiro specifically for baseball; cages, weight room, etc.?

No clue. I'm assuming basically a whole locker room renovation plus new all those things you mentioned. They have all that stuff indoors already, so I guess they're just gonna make it all new. I haven't heard any specifics. Everything these days has to have some fancy name of course. I thought it was interesting that Bianco has donated to the 13 million.

Not that I've seen. They just selected the architect, so I assume renderings will come later.
