Danone Sweeney Orange Bowl post game speeach

In his post game speech to the crowd he made mention of being the only South Carolina school to win a BCS bowl game. Looks like he's given the ole ball coach a little of his on medicine. Sorry auto correct got Dabo's name wrong

I don't know what it is about Sweeney but I have just never liked the guy. Maybe it's because he ran his mouth so much after beating a couple of SEC teams. He seems like one of those coaches that you like as long as he is your coach and not somebody else's.......kinda like Mullen now that I think of it.

Meh -- Congrats Dabo -- Spurrier just destroyed you for the 5th year in a row and will probably finish this year ranked more highly. The weakness of the ACC is really paying dividends for getting you into big games you don't actually deserve...

I used to feel the same way about Sweeney until I saw the story about the kid with downs and how he has allowed him to help and become a part of the team ( personal reasons). Now, South Carolina is probably the best team in the SEC at this point... They prove dominance over Clemson each year.

I don't like him either. Something about his actions and how he comes across that rubs me backward. I don't think Mullen is like that. People like him unless he's beating them.

Who'd name a kid "Dabo"?? I certainly hope it's a nickname.

Nickname. When he was a baby his brother referred to him as "dat boy" which came out sounding like Dabo. The name stuck. I saw him say that in an interview once.

Such as ... Ga Tech in the Orange Bowl a few years ago with 5 losses, got blown out by Iowa (or Iowa State)

FSU in the Sugar Bowl with (I think) 5 losses. Can't remember who won.

That's what you got with BCS conferences ... automatic bids no matter how bad the champion is.

THe ACC is 4-5 so far, but will probably finish 5-5. Two of those wins were their new members, Pittsburg and Syracuse, winning. Of course, our two newbies won too.
