There's no point getting into a semantic argument. But at least with the BCS, you didn't rely on Condaleeza Rice to decide who played for the national championship, who I believe one of her credentials to do so was that she was once engaged to someone who played football at the University of Minnesota.
My point is, it's never going to be perfect. Pick a system and stick with it. People are going to complain no matter what, but changing the system every year makes the NCAA Conspiracy Theory have more credibility. This system is the absolute definition of subjectivity. Instead of hundreds of people selecting who has a shot, now there are twelve. That doesn't bother you?
