Auburn has trouble on the road, Cam will be facing the best defense he has faced in his college career, and we are ready to play. We can pull this off tonight

LSU is talented but just not clicking like they should...will be tough to win in BR, but we get 2 extra days to get ready, and maybe we can wear those under-sized DE's down in the 4th quarter and pull it out.

Georgia? Without their best WR, a green QB, suspect secondary, and will be on the road for the 3rd straight tough SEC game....


4-0 headed into that big Alcorn State game would be really nice

Even as a fan, that's looking way too far ahead. All 3 of these will be tough games. I don't see any way we win all 3.

We haven't won an SEC opener since 1999. We've beat Auburn once since 2000 (and most of the losses were not close). Our running game left something to be desired last week and Auburn is very good at stopping the run usually. Our linebackers aren't what they were last year and will have a hard time chasing and tackling Cam. Malzahn is one of the best offensive minds in college football, and Manny is really getting his first litmus test.

We haven't won at LSU since...1991. We've beaten them once since then and that was a questionable win anyway.

We haven't beaten Georgia since 1974 and even without AJ they still have plenty of talent.

I know it's not wise, as we are MState, but I cannot talk sense to myself. Therefore, it's going to be a strong slap in the face when we get smoked by someone.

that we couldnt go on the road and win SEC games last year...it's a new era Pat- quit being so negative all the time

It really didnt. We ran for 200 yards and the last quarter was all back-ups on the OL. We only ran the veer twice, gaining 20 yards on 2 plays. We didn't incorporate our new wrinkles in the option game and we didnt run the read-option with Ralph- just Tyler and he wasn't about to keep it.

With a very vanilla package we ran for 200 and played subs the whole 4th quarter. I was very pleased with the running game

so I must have had us with 2 road wins. I think what I told you was that we wouldn't win 3 road games like you kept saying we would. And we didn't.

If we win tonight, the momentum could carry us to winning one of the next two (more likely @LSU), possibly even both.

If we lose, I think it's going to be an uphill climb to avoid starting 1-3.

Huge game tonight, obviously.

but we have a good front 4, and you have to think we will see if we can pressure with just those 4 some. I look for alot of 5 man rushes, with a 4 under/2 safeties deep type of coverage a good bit mixed in with all out, go get him blitzes. I think the best thing we can do is mix it up to keep Malzaln guessing. Last year we just sat back and let them do what they want- the absolute worst defensive gameplan I think I have ever seen.

Our secondary is improved- tonight we'll see just how much.

We will probably be ranked in the top 10 because we'll have 3 wins over top 20 teams. We'll have more quality wins than Boise State and any other team in the top 10.
