What gets me is your insistence that you have the sole interpretation of what DSR is. JCHIL has states SOS is not the end all be all. But it's your way or else...

Voters can have their own take, percentage of what matters, and they aren't wrong.

Note to self: this really gets epic.

Ramblinman,

Why do you bother engaging with these two meatheads. They've obviously never played the sport and have no idea what they're talking about.

It's kind of like fishing at a real hot spot. I keep trying different artificial lures and types of live bait, and they just can't resist whatever I throw out there.

Lol, where do you get that? I'm talking about rankings, and he has no response.

What's your HS resume champ? You even all conference bro?

And do you even realize how meatheady that responsr is? Wow

Wouldn't it be more "meatheaded" to make the statement that just because you did not play football, that you do not understand football?

In statistics we call that a non mutual exclusive event.

Playing the edgy card, eh? That's rich coming from someone who has already been banned. Amirite?

Just asking Edgy a question. Also, I was banned for calling someone a naughty word, and a post that outsmarted someone not familiar with a redirect link, not for trolling the board and intentionally baiting posters.

But this is what you crave, attention. I guess I bit, but just wanted to point out you actually hijacking the entire DSR as your own.

Whatever though, I'll accept who you are, as illogical as it might be.

Go back and re-read the thread starting from the top. Just do it. My first post in the thread, a post that was liked by two other posters, came at 9:14 a.m. At 11:54 a.m., jwar copied an argument he and I were having in a different thread and pasted it into this one with claims of me being the ultimate homer and that I should not be the DSR devil's advocate. That's exactly when the thread was hijacked.

Tell me, what's it like to be wrong so often?

No, the entire DSR, as in the actual thing. You've laid claim to the preeminent knowledge of how it is to be voted.

You and a few others have a fundamental disconnect when it comes to the DSR. Last year, just like this year, I argued early in the season that Naz does not deserve to be ranked in the DSR at that time due to SOS. At one point last year, someone asked me who was more deserving of a DSR ranking than Naz, and I said Barrington. People thought I was nuts, but I don't care. The DSR is about the here and now. It's not about future potential, and neither is it about past seasons. That's just not the way it rolls, but you can 't see it. You are like Domer boy arguing that HF deserves a top seed in Catch-22's If the Playoffs Started Today threads.

IDGAF about your tiff with jwar. You argue, that's what you do, I've accepted that. You also proven to be just as wrong (i.e. forming the crux of your initial beef with my voting while ignoring USD's ranking). I also accept you refuse to admit when you are wrong, or accept others opinions. You are just argumentative and bullish, but I get that.

That is where you are wrong. I primarily point out outliers like when one voter gives a team a ranking of #6 when no other voters have that team in their top ten or like when one voter doesn't move a team down that got shellacked the previous weekend. If someone wants to argue that point with me, I defend my position. That's not hijacking, nor is it laying claim to how the DSR should work. SOMETIMES, however, a voter needs to be reminded that the DSR is less about roster and how far that team will go in the playoffs and more about what that team has done and against whom they have done it.

What's IDGAF? Israeli Defense Going Against Frogs? I was simply documenting for you that jwar was the one who hijacked the thread, not me.

I acknowledged that I was wrong about USD's ranking last week. How is that refusing to admit when I am wrong?

You have your view on all this, and of course it's not wrong. My contention is that we know what the DSR is, and are following JCHILL's exact directive, but you insist to be the keeper of the DSR, with some duty to remind us of how your way is correct.

I primarily point out outliers like when one voter gives a team a ranking of #6 when no other voters have that team in their top ten or like when one voter doesn't move a team down that got shellacked the previous weekend.

And on this, no, our initial lively debate was not that circumstance. It was proven that outside the fact I'm a Naz fan, there was nothing HOMER about my ranking. You eventually backtracked a bunch to essentially "Well you're not doing it right." This of course was after you being proven wrong a few times.

But whatever man, it's your opinion and prerogative, and I accept you for the curmudgeon you are.

Also, FWIW, again, IDGAF about this thread, but am talking the DSR in general, WADR to jwar.

Is this going to be a weekly purse fight?

What don't you understand about message boards? It's people talking a topic on the Internet, which in this case is DSR. So yes, people will engage in a debate of the DSR, on a message board.

All I recall proving is that you are a Naz fan (by your own admission) and that only one other person ranked Naz higher than you last week...after Roadrunner wins over Bloomington and Leo in weeks one and two.

Once again, I was equal with another poster, and several others admitted they'd have had Naz ranked around me. I had them ranked appropriately, I didn't need a consensus with all the voters to justify a NINTH place spot. The OUTLIER was godfather, not me.

Let's put week one aside though before more posters get mad about messages on message boards meant for messaging.

ah but PJ, we still hold the crown with the post JC/RB game.

I was around but under a different handle. Quality brawling.

Naz-LA could be entertaining, but I don't see it surpassing last year's Donnybrook between MCHS and Naz fans on here.

Nope Naz/Montini Truce going on a season and a half now. Just to clarify my opinion about Loyola...very good team tons of respect for team and school...Ramblin' and Bowie not so much. These comments are mine and should not be considered a broad statement for all Naz associated people.

They will get back to us. The Naz guys are distracted at the moment.
