but he didn't take it back when he was supposed to. After a few hours she called the cops.

It's why she didn't press charges.

Some people are poor. They don't have cars and it's not worth the 25 bucks just to have a card that doesn't do you any good.

...has to attend multiple schools after high school to gain eligibility for college.

Difficulty passing tests.

Obamanomincs will take care of him.

Give the guy a break, he was just trying to get to that early morning practice and he had a mouthful of Listerine.

"According to a police report, a woman called police early Thursday morning, claiming Barksdale stole her Nissan Altima. After about an hour of searching, police spotted the car being driven by Barksdale and pulled it over at about 5:15 a.m."

Hmmm...maybe he's from Mississippi. I'd bet a lot of Mississippians don't have driver's licenses.

I don't see how Barksdale doesn't by now.

I had a 9th grade drop-out from Pearl via Kosciusko working for me. I fired him when he turned 21 and still didn't have a license. He was dating a girl who had 2 kids by 2 different daddy's, but had never been married. He took a day off work to go to Alabama to get married to her. The Justice of the Peace asked for ID, so they turned around and drove back to Mississippi unmarried because he didn't have any ID with him. He is now working at Wal-Mart in Richland, still with no driver's license. True story.

Doesn't mean the state won't.

Based on responses so far maybe you should rephrase your question to " How many COLLEGE kids do you know who don't have a driver's license?"

Since Tig doesn't have a DL, I'd assume he doesn't have a car either. I believe you have to actually have a car first to take advantage of the "cash for clunkers".

It'd be mighty hard to get a conviction for him stealing a car when the owner testifies that she was OK with him driving her car. Not to mention this happened in Batesville. It's just a funny story, and at the end of the day he's got a DUI and driving with no license. Not good for the Rebels, but not that big of a deal either. Really not much worse than the Anthony Dixon arrest for us.

you have to able to read to take the test. I don't think they will allow that to be read to you since nobody will be there to read traffic signs for you.

and report it missing? The stolen car report is why he got pulled over to start with.
Is somebody paying her hush $...is this part of a bigger conspiracy?

Yes, that's what we do. We had to double our normal fee with this one.

Even if she called the cops and reported it stolen, once she tells the cops, "Oh, I didn't know he had it, that's okay", the case is done. A first year law student could win that case in a walk. It would be a huge waste of time to try a grand theft auto case without a complainant. Can you even do it?

We went over the story six times. Well, you solved the case.

I have no idea what happened, it's all just rumor. The fact of the matter is that it doesn't matter what the circumstances were, in a grand theft auto case, no complainant, no case. In fact, I don't think you can have a theft case without a complainant.

They will read the test to you. Also, you don't need to be able to read to understand traffic signs. If you see a red octogon (assuming you know what an octogon is), you should know that that is a stop sign.

"Slow to 55" or something like that. If that is true, you should know how to read to get a driver's license.

I'm just saying that the reason traffic signs have different shapes / colors is for that contingent of drivers that doesn't know how to read.

However, if you never took the time to learn how to read, it's unlikely you'll take the time to pass the driving test.
