That guy could write some LONG columns. But back in the pre-Internet days, I used to anxiously await my Dawgs Bite every Thursday.

I think of myself as fairly intelligent.

The last column of his I tried to read, I kept having to reread what I had just read. Finally gave up.

An good copy editor would help him immensely.

It's like he's trying to show everyone how smart and clever he is, and that's usually a bad combination if you're not truly brilliant. Just write like normal.

Is this opposed to an even worse combination of appearing to be stupid, gullible, and unclever?

I have the same problem with some of his columns. I can never complete reading them because of his style. One can only assume he is trying to be too cute/clever and it destroys what he is presenting. Also I get the impression that he is being paid by the word. Most any one could deliver the same information is far fewer words.

He writes with words like "spekin" instead of expecting. He also starts off sentences with the word, And. My parents paid a **** load of money for private school and I remember to never start a sentence with And. Murray is in a class by himself. He's the only blog writer in America that submits every article in hopes of the Pulitzer.

I was perusing Genespage this morning after pouring myself a cup of exquisitely brewed Arabica when I came upon a new article from wordsmith David H. Murray. In quiet contemplation, I pondered the existence of this article and whether it would not exist if I didn't read it. I decided to place the article into existence by reading it. O glorious me, the glow of the words upon the screen jumped at my eyes and I found the article very enlightening.**
