At the time it left, it was time to go. But now, I agree it's time to bring it back.

they're doing it and timing it to the spring game (where I assume it will be broken out, probably with the help of some 98/99 ers). Just not a big fan of it.

It brought a smile to my face. I like it, but it doesn't matter to me if they do it or not.

Because that, I'm quite frankly not so good with.

DPR, yes.

Baha Men, no.

I think if Croom did one thing right it was the handling of the DPR. I think it should only be used in celebratory/reward situation.

Even back in the day when we were winning, I never cared for it to be done on the field of play. On the sideline was ok, but only when it is a big and/or special win. The '99 Egg Bowl DPR will be the creme de la creme for along time though.

I know one thing about it. OM and Bamer fans hate it as bad as cowbells. Therefore, I love it.

With the help, of course, of Tiiiiiiiiiiiitus.

you can't pull it out while LSU is running up and down the field on you. It's much better when you are winning.

Which leads me to think we won't be doing the Dawg Pound Rock all that often this fall.

Chuck Freakin' Smooth. Hell yeah, that rocks, that other version, the one everyone else except for the State University of MS plays, it is horrible.

the Left Field Lounge and the DPR. I bet you would burn down Lee Hall and throw away every cowbell on earth if you could.

And that everything we do at MSU sucks, until proven otherwise.

To some extent I can understand where that philosophy comes from, because we have done a lot of sucky things over the years, but the constant negativity over all things MSU-related other than Stansbury gets old.

Remember, he was also done with MSU athletics (or maybe just football) forever, FOREVER, if we hired Derek Dooley, regardless of how Dooley did as HC. There were many other coaches names being tossed about who he said would not merit him making a trip to Starkville, presumably unless they turned out to be winners.

The DPR is ridiculous and embarrassing to me now. I think it's stupid. We have been the shittiest program in the SEC for 8 years. We don't need to be dancing around like a bunch of jackasses. When we were winning, it was cool for a year or so. That was also 10 years ago. Time to let go. If Mullen can turn things around, then let's celebrate and do whatever. But we freaking blow *** right now, and have for nearly a decade. It's idiotic to get out on the field and start dancing around.

I think LFL is a great tradition that they have let get out of hand. Now it's LFL, RFL, CFL, and they are cramming too many people in there. It just looks junky and cluttered. Otherwise, I like the idea. Just wish they would clean it up and make it look a little nicer.

As far as Derek Dooley is concerned, I would not have thrown good money at that disaster of a hire. Luckily, we made a good hire, and I have pledged financial support through upping my BC donation and I will be purchasing tickets to as many games as I am able to attend. But thanks for your concern over my support level nonetheless.

I love cowbells, I love our campus, and 99% of what MSU does. So bite my ***, D@A. Anyone that knowingly pulls for the shittiest sports franchise of all time shouldn't be commenting on my criticisms of State and assuming **** that you know nothing about. Sorry my posts don't meet your standards.

we've been the shittiest program in the SEC for a lot longer than that. Just because we had a few winning seasons under Jackie doesn't change that.

and while I'm not a Saints fan, I will defend them and say they are far from the shittiest sports franchise of all time. I think shittiest ever and think Lions, Clippers, Bullets/Wizards, Expos/Nationals.

I'm almost positive they at least made the Finals and lost to the Sonics the only year they won it. And making the Finals makes the Bullets > the Saints.

Edit: The Bullets beat the Sonics in 7 games in 78, then the Sonics beat the Bullets in 5 a year later.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that we should have been DPRing when we were down 38-7 in recent years. What I think it says about Mullen is A) He doesn't plan on being down like that; B) He is looking for ways to inject life into our program; and C) He is reaching out to our past, and to things our fans and former players can get excited about.

I am glad you have deemed Mullen worthy of your dollars and presence. To me, most any coach would deserve a year or two of grace period to show progress. Even Dooley or Tommy Bowden. Even Croom in his first year. To withdraw completely from the entire athletic department based off who the new football coach before the new coach coaches a game is anyone's choice. I just don't agree with it. To each his own.

I find it interesing that you like 99% of what State does because it seems to me that a lot of your posts are critical of what goes on or has gone on in the past. Maybe those are just the ones I remember. Sincerely sorry if I have cast you in the wrong light. (I will pass on the *** biting.)

And some of the games were on tape delay at 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights I think. Then a couple of guys entered the league in 79 and all that changed.

I don't know what that has to do with anything. Any franchise that has won a title is a better franchise than the pathetic New Orleans Saints, who I believe has won two playoff games.

Are you claiming that anything that happened in the NBA before Bird and Magic should be disregarded?

He is the one who gave the song idea to the administration and it was most definitely the Chuck Smooth version.
