Pointcitydawg, that was funny, I don't care who ya are.
You have to keep your questions sort of clean and not too controversial at Dawg Talk so after giving the shout-out to the Pack, I mentioned that our last out of the last game on Sunday was made trying to steal second when the run that really counted was the one at the plate. I asked Cohen if he had sent the runner (Collins) or if they just tell the players that when a particular set of conditions is present he has the green light to go without them specifically telling them. The sound system they use in the restaurant during Dawg Talk is often poor and so are the acoustics in the restaurant so it's hard to understand everything that the coach and Jim Ellis are saying but I think the gist of it was that Alabama was not really guarding the runner and conditions were nearly perfect to steal with success. Cohen said that "about 100 things have to happen correctly to be thrown out under those conditions." I guess all those things must have happened because they sure gunned him down. Cohen technically took responsibility but it sounded a little like he was laying some of it at Collins' feet, too. As I said, the audio conditions were terrible and maybe I didn't understand exactly what he was saying.
They often have some past player call in during the show and last night was Jeffrey Rea. He mentioned that he is selling insurance in Jackson now and talked about how difficult it is coming from high school to playing in the SEC. He talked about the work ethic that is required and how much better the pitching, etc. is compared to high school. Good points for any prospective recruits Cohen may be working on. I think last week the radio guest was Jay Powell if I remember correctly.
Anyway, I just thought it would be cool to mention Six Pack on the radio and maybe we could get some more folks here on this board.
