but lets keep in mind we will have to win to advance to play any of those teams

Definitely a step in the right direction

St Johns has 8 seniors- they will struggle next year

then playing 2 out of St. John's, Zona, and TAMU....yeah, that's an upgraded schedule in a hurry. Feels like the 04-05 season start.

For reference, that was Fairfield and Birmingham-Southern in the BJCC, then Syracuse and Saint Mary's in New York.

The four hosts will then advance to the Championship Rounds, Nov.
17-18, at New York's Madison Square Garden, while the remainder of the
field will participate in subregionals held at campus sites.

St. Johns has a sick recruiting class, but that's out of necessity because they lose so many people. They will not be this good next year, but they will still look like a quality win. I hope we return Sidney and Bost next year because I think if everyone can start to gel together, this team could be really good. Bost, Moultrie, Sidney, Hood, and Deville Smith/Jalen Steele. I like that lineup alot.

This should help both our SOS and RPI next year.

As for St. John's they are losing their ENTIRE team, and havingto replace them with all ALL Freshmen.Since this is in the early part of the season they will struggle. I am really excited about our recruiting class

Rodney Hood 5-Star
Deville Smith- 4 Star
DJ Gardner- 4 Star
possibally
Phillip Jurick- former Tennessee signee 4-Star and leading the nation in blocksin JUCO

Not to mention Arnett Moultrie.

Thats 5 solid players to go with Dee, Sidney, Jalen Steele, Brian Bryant, andWendell Lewis.

St. Johns will fall completely off the map, and their RPI will hover in the upper 100's. And people will ***** about our sorry SOS.

They do lose a lot of seniors, but that recruiting class of theirs is very impressive. Not to mention Steve Lavin is a good coach. They may not have as many great wins as they have hadthis year, but they will be a tough team to beat. They will have a lot of young talent, and I would really love to go up against a team coached by someone like Lavin. They just don't make a ton of mistakes, and it's fun basketball to watch.

Who was the team, Xavier maybe, we scheduled the year after they made the Sweet16. Was supposed to be a great OOC game. They wound up sucking the next year, and our schedule was blasted as being too weak. We got no bump from that game at all.

Fish's groupie player crush on the "RSS" show is about as unwarranted (in terms of on court performance) as C34's crush on Kodi and hate of Tyler Russell

Also DS, did you ban the use of the term "live and die by the 3 ball?" Fish posted that phrase 1,094 times last year, it was all the dumbass could come up with to say, but I don't remember him saying it this year.

If you don't think the Renardo Sidney Show is fun to watch both on and off the court then I can not help you. Since we have the RSS we have not had to Live and Die by the 3 ball, but once he his gone you will see plenty more of it on the court and on SPS.

I knowwe played at Cincinatti in the SEC-Big East and we played in Tampa against DePaul... would be nice to host a big team like that.

When we played at Cincy, didn't they host another game prior to ours as well in the challenge?

Not sure if anyone caught this in the article yet, but I love it.

"sophomore big man Renardo Stanley is scoring 13.7 ppg with a team-best
7.6 rebound per game average...11 players are expected to return next
season."

It'd be cool to play them at The Hump, but I'd love to play at the FedEx in Memphis if not. I guess if we did that, OM could host another Big East team there as well.

YES, Ole Miss played Louisiville after we played Cincy. The night before there was the international event, Kennedy swung off on the Cabby and got arrested.
