This is extremely impressive...

Kalkbrenner joined Patrick Ewing as the only second player to be named as a four-time winner of the Big East's Defensive Player of the Year award

The amazing thing about High Point is in their championship final the bench came into the game down 15 with 15 mins left and came back to win and those bench guys played the entire final 15 mins no starter played in that span of final 15 mins including the player of the year Hamilton. He only played 21 mins that game.

Come on Creighton, destroy the ugly red birds by 50 so we can stop pretending that team was good and that their coach is somehow special just because he was better than Kenny Payne.

Chuckie with 18 of UL's 34. Played over 18 minutes. He has 2 fouls, you have to go right at him in the 2nd half. Hadley also has 2 and played a ton of minutes. On the other hand, the ONLY Creighton starter with ONE foul, Kalkbrenner got an offensive foul with 6 seconds left before half. They are in great shape fouls wise. The games they struggled in, Ashworth and Kalkbrenner battled foul trouble. Not today.

Shocked he got it over Clingan.

One reason it sucked two years ago when SDSU beat Creighton was that Creighton matched up with UCONN and Kalkbrenner gave Clingan fits.

Louisville will make a run but they have dug a good size hole. Creighton can go on slight scoring droughts so this one in not over. But Kelsey needs to figure out a good defensive scheme. The rotation of the ball makes that tough. The Jays are going to get open 3 looks.

Best chance Louisville has is if the real Chucky goes and visits Ashworth at halftime.

Purdue is killing them on the glass with 11 OFF rebounds and several dunks off OFF rebounds I don't know how many 2nd chance pts Purdue has but it has to be a lot.

Very disappointed in High Point so far.
