When you show no offense.
It’s all about recruiting and retention, something Iowa has struggled at (to put it kindly) these last three years.
Terrible match from Bailey. Everything good he did yesterday is erased today. Wtf pud.

Blaze also got called for stalling twice, which he was doing.
Which, I agree, was smart and tactical wrestling. He got his lead and then he did what he could to kill the clock from there.
Peterson slowed the match down to give himself a chance at the victory. It was smart and tactical, it just didn't work out.
Using the Block-SVN standard, Vega would have given up 4 stall calls there.
Frustrating, but can't complain. Bailey didn't on put enough pressure. There was a solid 5 seconds where he just stood still and looked at Vega

Vega doesn’t tie up, gets super low and immediately takes 1 step back when someone tries to close the distance. His defense and positioning is about as good as it gets at the DI level. He can make just about anyone look like they have little to no offense.

Seidel or Jax smoking Blaze would be nice. I think Davino beats him before that though.
I'm tired of hearing this. Freestyle does nothing to incentivize pinning. It's all pushouts and neutral wrestling. At least folkstyle incentivizes controlling your opponent and trying to pin them. Exposure without control means nothing in folkstyle, which is how it should be. Freestyle is not the answer for fans. Look at NCAA viewership/attendance vs any freestyle event.
Btw, if you really want Penn State to stop winning so much, then you need to ban their wrestlers/Cael from practicing freestyle................surprised none of you have picked up on that in all this time.

Again, you continue to show you have NO CLUE. The 3 guys they lost to have a combined record of 66-1. They lost 2-1 in 10 minutes of wrestling. 5-3 and 4-1. It sucks that the Iowa guys aren't the ones that combine to be 66-1, but Peterson wrestled Luke WAY BETTER than he did earlier this season, Ayala lost a 1 takedown match and so did Bailey. If you can't see how much better they are wrestling than the regular season, you either are blind, lack basicl levels of comprehension or have an agenda and willfully choose to ignore the truth....
Or it's the same issue Iowa has had for the last few years. No offense against good wrestlers, But that's evidently not on the coaches according to you.
Well I’m going to keep saying it because I get more excited watching freestyle than folk style under the current rules. I’m not the only one who records folk style wrestling and fast forwards through the majority of the matches. If NCAA switched to freestyle you would see bigger viewership. Thats a no brainer.

I think Nasir just experienced an adrenaline dump from being in such a tight match with a high-level wrestler.
So Ohio State and Notre Dame are only better at Iowa in football because they recruit better athletes?!? Got it!
