at Michigan. He would be a bad hire. He couldn't stop ANYBODY at Louisville either this year.

with the Auburn fallout and end up with Gene Chizek. (There is NO way we could possibly be that lucky)

Whatever happened to Brian Van Gorder who did a good job at UGA? He took the Ga. Southern HC job, but I assume he is not there now that Hatcher is the HC.

Maybe we could get Brick Haley. I would have picked him over Cheese. Maybe he was too expensive.

I've mentioned Rhodes a time or two.

Kirby Smart is Nick Saban's latest protege at Bama.

I'd much rather the Auburn guys or the TN guys as those teams also had very good defenses and are looking for jobs. Plus they know the recruiting area very well.

Don't be surprised to see The Chest and his wraparound shades gracing the sidelines of Scott Field on Coach Mullen's staff.

Remember the story? Brian Van Gorder gets the South Carolina DC position, EJ goes to U Pig, then Van Gorder goes to the Falcons as DC and EJ goes to SC

Bob Stoops hires coordinators that kicked his ***. If he can't stop an offense he hires the OC and supposedly same with the DC. Though, he has kept Venables for longer than his results deserve and let Pelini defect to LSU. Mullen went up against English in Orlando last year, maybe he saw something. As far as the Louisville results for English, it is hard to be a DC for Kragthorpe. Even at Tulsa where things went well for Krag, his defenses spent a great deal of time on the field and had poor statistics. Krag has generally outscored people.

They also gave up 41 to Syracuse. I'm hoping this isn't the guy. I watched Louisville some this year because I bet on/against them and they had trouble stopping anybody.

he's a good coach and an intense mf'er...get a couple of younger high energy guys under him to learn and then replace him in about 3 years

That is not a bad idea. Would be nice to find someone who is now a coordinator and that coached under Muschamp or Saban. Muschamp's AU defense shutdown the Gator offense in '06 and '07.

Try to get James Willis from AU as linebacker coach as well, he coached under Muschamp.
