Anyone else been following SF? Friday was pretty slow. They’ve been solid Saturday and Sunday.
On the way home from the 3 day run. It was amazing in person. Billy, Sturgill, and Trey killed it. Bobby is old and it shows, but he’s still kicking. He was struggling at times. Not sure if age or emotions. But last nights first set was pure energy. The second set felt like a calm, blissful farewell celebration.Anyone else been following SF? Friday was pretty slow. Yeah, I was there too. Pretty impressed with the park and polo grounds in general. I thought the city did a good job. Food was good, lines were short, plenty of bathrooms, free water if you brought a bottle, legal pot sales onsite (first time in US history per the signs). That’s quite an outcome because there was a ton of people there. I think they estimates 60K before the weekend. On the way home from the 3 day run. It was amazing in person. if they had announced a Monday show at 10 pm last night, I would have changed my flights
Some of us werent old enough to be that lucky. We take what we can get.I was lucky enough to see the Dead in the early 90's in my teens several times, 93, 94, and 95, Further a few times after, and Ratdog many times through all of their lineups. I've always been a huge Bob fan. That being said, I've never seen any of the other stuff that's going on now and never would. It died when Jerry died. I have friends that still go but I'm not sure what to think about it.
Understand 100% and that's why I said lucky. There are many older than me that were much luckier. Some of us werent old enough to be that lucky. We take what we can get.
