The hesitation is gone. He is rolling hard to the rim. Playing pretty good D. Passing well. Just overall he is much more in the flow and not playing tentatively. It helps the team ( regardless of stats).

Dean looked much better today. I like that he will drive with a couple dribbles under control and penetrate. He is a good passer. His teammates need to cut off that or slide into a passing lane on the perimeter for an open 3

Like him getting mins at the 4 w cliff in. Amazing. How his opportunities go way up when he’s on the floor of with Cliffl at the same time.
Yeah his defense was bad and luckily it didn't cost them. And this was probably the most favorable matchup for him as Wisky isn't a fast team.
He also passes high to high to Cliff. Unstoppable but Cliff not used to it.

Dean is a much better 4 than a 5 and I like him playing in there along with Cliff(I actually would like to see Woolf in this role). That said, his defense needs to improve on the weakside D
And against faster players Dean is looking at the back of their jerseys all game. He can't defend from the perimeter to the basket with his foot speed. It's why Mag & Hyatt got most of those minutes before Mag's injury.
RU is just fortunate to be playing the weakest part of their schedule right now, it's not surprising that some of you are fooled into think Dean's suddenly a stronger player.

Not sure if it was the injury or he got into a funk because of the injury or what but his body language was not good most of the season. I said early on he just needs some swag and yesterday he jumped onto the floor and never looked back.
We all need to understand when you’re the 7th or 8th man your minutes are limited and it’s hard to ply with confidence when you know you’re only getting a few minutes. We clearly need him to play well the rest of the season and against bigger teams like Michigan, we may see a lot of him.

Would love to see him shoot more from midrange. Too often he'll dribble into the paint off a shot fake, then jump stop, then hesitate, then... nothing. He's not quick enough to get all the way to the rim. Pull up midrange Dean! I know he can make that shot. Tall enough to shoot over a defender closing out as well.

No. I said I thought Cliff would dominate Crowl (wrong on that), and Cam and Oskar would get plenty of good looks (right about that).
Don't get the Dean hate, or just making things up about body language, being lost, etc. He's just a deeper bench player, that will be hit or miss. Give it a rest.
Lol no one is hating on him. He is a fine Big Ten role player coming off bench. All I said was that I wasn't blown away by his performance in Madison but I really enjoyed his lob dunk. No one is hating on him!
