Could you please tell me what county that RAMHARD and RAM NASTY's IP address comes from? I'm not asking you to identify who they are just where in the state they reside.

Thanks,
Sooner

Impossible for Rulz to be GSO - Rulz is too young and doubtful he has lived in Guilford County. GSO knows way too much about Greensboro that people who haven't lived here more than likely would not know.

You're correcto, Ms. Sasha, that a non-Guilford native could name slash recite the un-Googleable side road gin joints slash juke joints in Greensboro similar to said scribe, and most Guilford natives don't remember most of these roughian slash stitch joints. ( monikered because you'll more than likely leave with a few slash a lot of stitches. ) As far as the comments similar to, " Yeah, thisun used to be thatun, and thatun used to be thisun, " all that computerin' stuff is way over my head, Sasha.

Pretend we're slow dancin' to this Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes selection, Sasha, in the joint known as The Blue Max, which was located in what is now Wafco Mills at the end of Walker Avenue close to the Spring Street slash Freeman Mill Road bridge . This particular establishment was only open for about a year and a half, 1971- until the end of '72, but it was one of them once in a lifetime-ish type joints. When you were a student at Tate Street University, Sasha, did you ever hear any of the coeds mention this place, or had the thrill of The Blue Max escaped the environment by that particular time, or maybe you heard one of your classmates discombobulated Uncles mention this establishment.

When Aunt Betsy " JackSlap " Vulvatoski , the lady featured above, when she found out I had posted her picture up in here, she said, and I quote, " If any of them sonsofbitchees make any innuendo-ish slash sexual advances, tell 'em I'll put something on 'em Dial Soap won't warsh off. "

How about the club named The End Zone that was located where Suds 'N Duds on Walker Avenue is presently situated. The End Zone was only open from late '69 until about the end of '70, if my memory serves me correctly. The End Zone hosted many a combo on their way up the musical ladder, including The Allman Brothers Band. I bet Tater Mommy attended slash remembers this particular establishment, along with The Castaways and Pickwick.

GSO, the Blue Max and the End Zone were before I relocated to Greensboro. Jokers 3 (at that time next to the current Yum Yum's location) and Daddio's on High Point Road were the de riguer nightspots for the UNC-G crowd.

The Jokers 3 started their operation at the corner of Tate and Spring Garden, Sasha, before they moved to that big white building on Spring Garden. The original Jokers was located where Manhattan Subs is currently located. I remember Daddio's, Sasha, but the one time I tried to attend, they informed me footwear was necessary for entrance, so we all piled in the vannn and split. Back to the original posters question, Sasha, did you ever hear anyone mention The End Zone, The Blue Max, or Pickwick when you first matriculated to Greensboro ? If you'd rather not respond, I'll totally understand, Sasha, as I feel sure talkin' about bars that have been closed for over fourty years is not high on your list.

Never heard of them before you mentioned them. However, in trying to refresh my memory of Daddio's name (I only went there once), I came across the following link where The Blue Max was mentioned in the comments.

That's pretty cool, Sasha, and it brought back some memories, although most of the posters seemed like weekender type slash rookies. The Blue Max was not on Spring Garden as the gentleman stated, it was on Walker Avenue. One poster typed, " If anyone remembers The Bellestone Fox, they're older than dirt. " It was called Forever Charlies before it was called that , then the novices took over. Some dude typed they couldn't remember what Eliza's was called before that. It was called The Apple Cellar. It also stated Emmy Lou Harris got her start there. She didn't. She did play at The Red Door, which was located where Subway on Tate Street is currently located. Blah, blah, blah.... All that stuff may be second hand news they heard from one of their insane relatives, Sasha, but it was interesting to read.

I nonchalantly noticed, Sasha, nobody mentioned the beverage establishment that used to be on Spring Garden, almost to the corner of Holden, where that Vietnam joint is currently located . I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but one evening in the early slash mid seventies, I was enjoying an iced cold beverage, when the winnders started bustin' out, people sayin' thangs similar to, " Whurs my beer, " and statements such as," Put some plastic on them winnders ". Upon hitting the floor under the bar table, I came to the conclusion that someone slash many someones were firing ammunition into the retail establishment. When the glass had ceased shattering, the patrons resumed ordering their beverage of choice like nothing had transpired. Shortly after this occasion, I matriculated away from Greensboro for quite a few years, although this rather unnerving event had nothing to do with the decision for matriculation to a different environment.

The Rathskeller, in case anyone ever asks you, Sasha, was located across from Greensboro College on Market Street, right before the Cedar Street stoplight. or a couple doors down from Fuzzy Ducks. Fuzzy Ducks, in the seventies, was called The Camelot, with their gypsy beads hangin' from the doorways , beanbag chairs, and strobe lights. The Camelot also had the best hot dogs and chili this side of Chile. Another short lived , infamous joint was The Pastime Bar, located right across the street, but on the same side of the street, as that Exotic Costume Shoppe, where Priscilla would shop to buy them strawberry-ish slash edible panties with holes in the middle of 'em, and brassieres that you can see plum through.

Nope. I'm a grown up. Life sucks sometimes and all you can do is just roll with it. I was pissed last Friday night. Saturday morning I started planning for next season. Getting knocked down doesn't define a person life....having the balls to get back up and try again does.

My humblest apologies , Pony Dog, if it appeared I was trying to steal your thunder once again, as I was attempting to inject some factual history of Guilford County Gin Joints, since Sasha had brought up the subject. I'll leave this ultra informative thread so you can resume your posture as King Of The Playpen.
P.S. Before you type your mantra of " I seen your sister with a mattress on her back, " and all that FaceLookish type rigamaroll, save your hand strength for your other favorite hobby. as I won't be reading any of your kindergarten-ish mumbo jumbo any longer. South Point minus three.

So Ram.... If you know so much about the Rams... tell me who is in charge of the Havelock Touchdown Club? That is a very easy one if you are a true fan! Don't worry... It's not on the internet

Well said, now if you would take the damn hint and fade away yourself. I am just kidding, you have been on here for quite sometime and do not seem to be a chest pounder only when you win. Nah, once again I am kidding, please move on.
