Our back 4 are clueless, and it doesn't matter who we put in there. They are all terrible. Even if we qualify, we will get drilled in the group stages of the WC. We lose this one, and hopefully this clown will get the ax.

I've never seen anything worth a **** out of him against decent competiton. I know we have some injuries, but damn, this is awful. Where are all the guys that were playing last year when we had some good results?

Mexico would be in serious trouble of not only finishing outside the top 3 and qualifying automatically, but also not even finishing 4th and playing the play-in series against the #5 team from South America. They lost again last night with their new coach and are currently in 5th place at 1-3.

Without looking back over the years, I'd guess they are in as tough a spot as they (or the US) have been during last 4 World Cup cycles.

As I said in a previous post, even those home wins only puts them in third and that is not even considering the results of other matches during that time.

I'm sure Mexico will sort it out, but damn are they in a bad spot right now.

(This is also why I'm not a fan drastic coaching changes. Mexico has made a few recently and they only appear to be in shambles.)

I think they'll still easily qualify as the 3rd team from CONCACAF. Too many good players for them not to.

to be 1-3 after 4 games, too.

I still say they are in danger of finishing 4th. Been outscored 7-2 in those 3 road games, still have to go to Costa Rica. They are great at home, but they appear vulnerable.

so we can talk about it more.

Golf - the only sport in which John Daly could be considered an "athlete".

Golf is a game, much like pool, bowling, etc...... I don't try to portray myself as an athlete, although there are some athletes in the game. Such as Tiger.

a list of approved sports to discuss. Thanks in advance.

If you don't like the sport being discussed, how about just ignoring it?

I'm not sold on Bradley either, but I think a lot of the mistakes are happening on the field, and these guys are freaking professionals, so they deserve a decent portion of the blame. This is who is playing in the WORLD CUP in a year. You shouldn't have to teach them how to play defense... you shouldn't have to tell them where/when to dribble/pass/shoot/whatever else. They're on this team because they do these things better than anyone else in our country playing soccer for a living.

Now, do I wonder about his decisions on who starts and where? Sometimes, no doubt. But I can't ignore the mistakes the players are making. Dempsey dribbling too much in his defensive half when he could have found a pass led to Honduras's goal. I don't necessarily disagree with his decision, because it could have worked out, but overall (even if it didn't mess up), not his best option.

This board is for sports related topics. You look like an absolute idiot by responding in a thread with soccer fans with crap like "who gives a ****?" Uhhh newsflash, the people discussing the topic give a ****. If you don't like it, just shut the hell up and let it fall to the 2nd page. And yes, I am a soccer fan, so you're welcome for the bump and let's keep talking about soccer.</p>

that if someone hated a sport enough to post about hating a sport, they would actually ignore the thread so it would fall off the page. BUMP.

I certainly hope that we bring more than our C game to the Confed Cup, or it might be super ugly.
