Please use this GameDay opportunity to be GREAT. its a big deal, so try to do the most un-starkville thing ever and embrace the exposure, relish the opportunity to impress and grow. I know there are many local politicians that do their best to swim against the current of progress, but please resist that urge this one time, I beg of you. Perhaps I am overstating the importance of GameDay and all that it brings (i wouldnt know, as i have never experienced gameday before), but please do your best to try and change perception of our town. Perhaps an "our town" segment on gameday showing the cotton district, night life, revitalization of downtown starkville.....even if those items were undertaken begrudgingly by some.
