Really has no business being the Cubs closer. He's sporting an ERA above five and opponents are hitting .270 off of him.

Bragging about beating the 2009 Cubs is like bragging about beating a Croom team. The Cubs are horrific. To make matters worse, than have a bajillion dollars tied up in terrible contracts. Just like Croom would have done if he had to manage contracts.

On a related note, as I walked in wearing my MSU hat, the ticket taker said "Hey - Mississippi State. I went to HS with a guy that plays football there." I asked who, and he said Brandon Henderson. Mrs. D@A asked who he was, and I said, "He's a below average tight end that no one else wanted, but his dad was a buddy of Croom's so he gave him a a scholarship instead of working hard to find and recruit a more talented player." I then walked to my seat in silence being pissed at Larry and Croom again.

But back to the point - the Cubs suck. I was behind the Cub dugout and booed Kevin Gregg unmercilessly when he walked off the field.

This happens every time I look at our roster. I just get ill, thinking about the embezzlement that was MSU Athletics during the Templedump era.

was a great example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...if they had kept Wood and Deroza instead of having Bradley and Gregg they would have at least 8 more wins right now...

Whats up with the Cubs scouting? How many short little black dudes are they going to draft to play CF, and then none of them turn out to be worth a ****?

My gosh a 5-1 lead. Just throw strikes. Groove it. Let them hit it. Just don't walk and hit people. I was probably most pissed at Lou for pulling Wells after 80ish pitches after DLee made an error. So Lee makes an error and you take your starter out after 80 pitches?????? I am tiring of Lou's shtick. Quickly. Move him out and bring Sandberg in from Tennessee to run the club. Or move Brenly down to the booth. I don't care. It won't matter.

i agree with you on Sanberg. I have heard good things about his coaching but he says he isnt ready for The Bigs just yet..... but that might be a political statement. Lou gave Marmol an ear full after the 8th but WHY in the hell do you hum a mid-waist/high ball at Francoeur....... you know he will jack it out of the park. I told my buddy that right before he got up to bat and sure enough he jacks it out of the park..... F'ng M-Braves

Kerry Woods ERA > Kevin Greggs ERA.

They both suck, but throw in the fact that Woods makes ten million dollars a year (for a 6.00 ERA) and Gregg makes a little over four million, then its for the best they didn't resign him.

I understand Gregg sucks, but wanting Kerry Wood back is like wanting Orgeron to replace Croom.

.....beating a team that was one game above .500 to get to one game above .500.

What do ya'll think of Zambrano?

MLB Network was talking about him after he got ejected the other day and the Cubs beat writer said that a lot of Cub fans are tired of his act. Is that true? I know he was/is a very popular player for years.

I was kind of surprised by his comments.

And I echo the sentiments about DeRosa. I want the Cardinals to get him BAD.

as long as he can stay healthy and continue to win games. I've always been a Zambrano fan. His cracking bats over knees and or necks and yelling can get tiresome, but again, if he wins, so be it.

A lot of Woods problem has been a lack of work. They're throwing him more regularly, i.e. non-save situations, now and he's started to look better.
