Well, it appears that you have gotten Mississippi State to the Gator Bowl. Dont think you did us any favors though. Although most MSU folks are okay with this, you have got to stop the favortism for the money schools.

Although State would probably beat South Carolina on the field, an argument can be made that USC could be selected before Mississippi State. However, Florida has no business being in a better bowl than Mississippi State, and although you avoided it, taking a 6-6 Tennessee team, whose six wins came against UT Martin, in overtime against UAB, a 1-11 Memphis team, an Ole Miss team that went 1-7 in the SEC, Vanderbilt who did the same and Kentucky who went 2-6 in the SEC, would have been a travesty. It shouldn't have ever been an option.

State's not the only school you are screwing either. LSU who had a better record and beat Alabama, and was a lock for a BCS game with a win over Arkansas, mysteriously dropped below Alabama in the pecking order. Honestly, the only three you got right were the first two (Oh, wait, you have noting to do with those two being selected by the BCS) and the last one.

Under the system that I presented in last night's letter, South Carolina would have had their choice of the Cotton or Outback. If they didn't want the Outback, let them go play in Dallas against A&M. Would have been a good matchup. Alabama would have taken the one South Carolina didn't pick, and State would be in Atlanta, exactly where they deserve. Florida would have gotten the Gator Bowl, which a UF-Michigan matchup would have been great. Georgia would be in Nashville, and Tennessee would be in Memphis and like it, because they are lucky that they are even sniffing a bowl. If UAB's kicker could kick a 25-yard FG, none of this would have been an issue.

Oh, and there is the issue of the Outback Bowl. If they are going to try to pull crap like this, I suggest you make a trip to San Antonio or El Paso (in fact I think the SEC needs a yearly Pac 10 bowl matchup) and let the Outback Bowl pick up an ACC team. From everything I am hearing, these bastards are not only the ones that started it, they refused to budge. If your bowl agreements are setup as gentlemen's agreements, then the Outback Bowl needs a good gentlemen's asswhipping for what they did over the past two days.

And Mike, you may think we are happy with the Gator, and the Gator is fine, but you still owe us one.
