Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin made the announcement Saturday. Meanwhile, Local officials, including Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles criticized such actions, saying that they made community members feel unsafe.

Federal officials say immigration raids have begun in North Carolina​

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Federal officials confirmed that a surge of immigration enforcement in North Carolina’s largest city had begun as agents were seen making arrests in multiple locations Saturday.
“We are surging DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to ensure Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed,” Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

American citizens should NEVER help criminals evade officers. During an enforcement operation in Charlotte, this individual became erratic, refused lawful commands, and had to be removed from his vehicle. DHS law enforcement followed their training to remove him. The individual later admitted he was trying to distract officers so others could evade the law.

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER INJURED DURING ENFORCEMENT OPERATION. This afternoon in Charlotte near University City, a United States citizen weaponized his vehicle, driving a large van at law enforcement while they were conducting an operation. He immediately fled the scene, starting a dangerous high-speed chase through a densely populated area. During the chase, he attempted to ram into law enforcement vehicles— posing a serious public safety threat. As agents were boxing him in— the driver proceeded to ram law enforcement vehicles in an attempt to escape. When the driver was arrested, a firearms was found in the vehicle. One law enforcement officer was injured. The perpetrator has prior arrests for resisting law enforcement, public disturbance and intoxication/ disruptive conduct.

BREAKING: The mayor of Broadview, Illinois has declared a CIVIL EMERGENCY after alleged out-of-state protesters threatened to become HYPER VIOLENT. This MUST STOP! Mayor Thompson says there are "serious and credible bomb and death threats" against Broadview ICE agents, prompting her announcement. This comes after TWENTY ONE people were ARRESTED after clashed with local and state authorities and they tried to STORM the Village Hall. Because the people they are grabbing were targeted for good reasons. Like Holman said they will grab others if they are hanging out with them. People committing violence they will grab. But the targets they are after are a priority. They have grabbed about a half million. That's a large army.
