It takes a special person to completely ignore the fact that he won't even read it. Your flames are doing nothing but heating up an already boiling pot full of Cam Newton. The fact of the matter is we are going bowling for the third time thismillennium, and you should be happy. If we get screwed out of our deserved bowl, it's not even his fault. Its not his job to pick which team goes to which bowl. With our past year with the atmosphere/ results on the field, we have already achieved something we couldn't since 1999. Also, telling the music city bowl to shove it going to do nothing but have us sittingidlinghere in Starkville Mississippi. The distance between out bowl game and our conference director has nothing to do with our performance, reward, or atmosphere. Also, the spelling of Birmingham is irrelevant to anything going on right now. If it does, then my bad. "Scott is on a trial run" is a completesentencewith no punctuation and is therefore improper grammar. Also, your rant has no 'second of all'.</span></font>

You, sir, are a complete idiot. How has Stricklin made the fan base sit on the edge of their seat all week? He's updated us with what has been going on the entire time. I guarantee you he wants Mullen to have an extension and he wants it done sooner rather than later. Also, if you think that Byrne handled the Mullen hiring solo, then you're even more of an idiot. Stricklin was instrumental in the coaching search.Do you have any idea how the bowl selection process works? Stricklin doesn't have any say in which bowl we go to. What rational person would want to go to an inferior bowl?If you have ever met Stricklin (which I highly doubt you have), you'd know how much MSU means to him. He eats, sleeps, and breathes MSU. I urge you to find someone that markets the school and its fan base more passionately than Stricklin. If you have an issue with Stricklin, email him. Unlike most AD's at SEC schools, he'll probably get back to you.

To him and RBdog at least I don't edit my post everytime. Was I too harsh? Sure, but hey get over it most of what I said is true. Please show me the updates because I missed them. Hell I think the entire board missed them. On Scott I've seen him speak twice this year and stayed after to shake his hand both times. We are both from Jackson and both Prep grads so I do support him and was a fan of the hire. I became a bulldog club member when I was 21 so I do my part. I sent him a email with a copy of my post. I hope he gets back to me.

Byrne was just excellent. Now, the bar was set about as low as possible since The Ninja followed a complete and total loser in Larry Turd Templeton. Still, Greg Byrne did a phenomenal job for us. Now Stricklin has big shoes to fill, shoes he may never be able to fill. I myself have not been impressed with him this week. I know it is beyond his control, but if State does fall to the Music city Bowl, it will reflect very poorly on Stricklin. If that happens and we lose Dan Mullen too, well, Stricklin might as well "pack up his bags and get out of town with Stansbury".

And your point about editing a post is???<div>
</div><div>Stricklin said repeatedly in interviews that they were working on a contract extension. If that's all the news, then thats all he has to tell us.</div>

I guess it's time for me to head back to my hole and keep on making millions of dollars at the expense of thousands of MSU fans.<div>

First of all 17 you for making your fan base sit on the edge of their seat all week while rumors swirl about Dan Mullen. It takes a special AD to completely ignore a fan base like you have in the past week. The fan base that in your first year set the attendance record for football. The fan base that has done everything you and your INHERITED football coach have asked of. If we get screwed out of our deserved bowl I for one will never forgive you. Its your job to market this school and its fan base. With our past year with the atmosphere/ results on the field only you could blow this. But if what we all feel happens please tell the Music City to shove it all the way up with a red hot poker. Take the Birmingham Bowl or whatever its name is. I want to be as close to Mike Slive as humanly possible. We will change the spelling of Birmingham to Burningham starting with the SEC office. Might as well because we're coming for your office next. "Scott is on a trial run" those are the words told to me when you were hired by a department director at the university. It will be a short trial.
If you've been sitting on the edge of your seat because you're paranoid we're going to lose our coach based on baseless rumors, that's your fault. You're an idiot.<div>
</div><div>Byrne was the AD when we got 'screwed' out of the NCAA Tournament, and boy, is he marketing the heck out of Arizona; everyone in the country is talking about them and what a great year they've had.</div><div>
</div><div>If you just want someone to blame for your own miserable life, go ahead. But everything about that post is retarded.

LT would've had us in the tournament. Complain all you want but he did have an upside.

I don't have any part in this DS!!! A few good points and more bad ones. I agree with burning Slive alive, but stricklin is probably working some magicc behind the scenes. I do agree that our AD should be fighting for this fanbase but how do we know he's not??? I'm confident.

Looks like our AD not only promoted MSU well enough to get to a New Years Day bowl when the possibility of us falling to the Music City Bowl was close, but also is close to extending %**. Like my first post on this thread, you, sir, are an idiot.

didn't sweep the leg so to speak but we avoided being in complete meltdown mode.Very excited and thankful to be in Jacksonville. Situations like these I really wish we could hear the entire story of how it all played out. Who blew who and what we promised people. Obviously Dan sounds happy here. Interested in hearing the details on how we plan to keep him happy along with most of the staff. The key to keeping Mullen is not how much we pay him personally. He's young has plenty of time to grow his fortune and he knows that. It's how much money we can pump into the football program as a whole. He wants a major face lift and of course the endzone addition to the stadium but also wants a building dedicated completely to football. The figure Scott needs to raise is around $90 million.... Just for football. I believe he has secured $15 million from the Seals (thought it would be more but this is what he told my uncle at lunch last week) and is working on the other 75. We'll see, but if you think that a Gator Bowl and some coach speak would change my views in 24 hours about the Mullen rumors and Slive you're wrong. I was harsh maybe too harsh but look at what we were facing. I was royally pissed and it'll come back if its freezing cold in Jacksonville and I'm not in a 17ing dome. Pray for good weather and happy boosters grasshopper....<div>
