Hutz is the only time I can recall that I’m in favor of mid season firing. Him still being around tells everyone, including recruits, that we aren’t serious about defense. We lack talent, but the coaching is obviously tragic, even to casual observers

I think Hutzler returning is still an open question, but I am 100% certain David Turner is going to be put out to pasture - maybe he moves to an off the field role, he won't be coaching. I still think he's a good DL coach, but he stinks as a recruiter.

I'm kinda thinking Turner is not the same coach he was 20 years ago. I would say the DL is our biggest problem and that's his baby. It's impossible to imagine we cut bait on a 3 star high school kid consideringwhat we have. If we don't sign some difference makers on the DL and I mean like 3 or 4 next year will be not better than this one.
