As of a couple of days ago, per rosebowl, there were most likely no early enrollees that would be going through bowl practices.
Of course you can't run if you have a slow OL and the DL is too quick for the OL to block, as we witnessed in the Ole Miss game. I would think our top priority is for Mullen and his buddy Hevesy to get some top Offensive Linemen in that can block for all these good RB's.
One would think with the QB's we have on campus, and history of solid backs that our OL recruiting would be easier. I don't understand Mullen's philosophy there.
I agree we need to do better with oline recruiting, but our oline did a good job this year. We were the #1 total offense, #3 rushing offense, and #2 scoring offense (sec ranks). You don't put up stats like that without an oline.
Champion, Williams, moon, and hopefully rankin will be a solid oline class imo.
That's not what happened. TSUN blitzed over half of the time and Dak couldn't handle the blitz. TSUN dared State to throw and State kept running into the blitz. I just happened to be watching the game today.
You may be correct, however, the question then arises-why did we not blitz more, or are we not capable of blitzing? I think we relied too much on hoping our front 4 could pressure Wallace, which they obviously could not.
