There were reports where Kirby had something 60 plus text messages and he and Stans had 30 plus phone conversations. Dee knew the deadline, he just wasnt going to get drafted. The NCAA did us MSU a favor on this one imo

And I'm convinced what happened is Dee woke up the next morning and thought, "Holy 17, I've just made a huge mistake. I'd better try to undo it and see if I can get back into college for next year."

He lied about not caring if he goes undrafted(or perhaps changed his mind). He lied about not knowing the deadline since it is documented he knew. He lied since he then changed his excuse to he knew the deadline but he didnt realize the Randolph Morris rule had changed.
