“If they’re frustrated, just imagine how we feel,” he said. “We’re the
ones playing; they’re not playing. They’re not putting in the hard work
every day and sacrificing their bodies. We’re the ones sacrificing our
bodies. It isn’t like we’re going out there and not trying. We’re going
out there trying every night — night in and night out — but we’re just
going coming up short.”

ETA: He's right... we aren't out there playing... but if it wasn't for our butts in the seats, he wouldn't be playing basketball in the SEC right now.

And, no Dee, you aren't busting it night-in and night-out... If you were, you woudn't have lost to Auburn, LSU, or Georgia. Pure lack of effort lost those games... It doesn't take a genius to see that.

I feel like he does give it his all every night...it's some of the supporting cast that may not be giving 100% all the time

Sucks their losing, but it's not like they don't care and don't want to win just as bad as the fans want them to.

Bama didn't make these excuses or pleas when they hit their mid season slump... they fought their way out of it, and are playing hard and winning. You don't lose to Georgia at home, then turn right around and blow a 17 point lead to lose at LSU... then follow that up losing by 10 to a 3 win Auburn team... then talk about how "we are busting it every night." You are right, Dee is busting it... he's one of the only consistencies this team has, but until I see it on the court, it's all talk.

If this team flat out busts their *** for 40 minutes Saturday night and wins the same way they beat Alabama at home, then goes on to win out, I'll show some respect... and Rick may get one more year. But for now, this end of the season meltdown doesn't seem to be over.

Dee plays hard, and a ton of minutes. I never see a lack of effort on his part. But he is talking about the team, and they definitely haven't been going out and giving it their all every night. If they'd have played as hard as they played in the first half of the Kentucky game for either half of the Georgia, Auburn, or LSU games, the outcomes would have been much different and we would be a lock for the tournament.

I just see being out of position from bad scouting, from trying to make a play that's not there, or simply having the offensive guy make a really good play. Sometimes your best just gets beat.

I never really thought Dee was that great of an on ball defender, anyway. He's been good about getting into passing lanes for steals or preventing a pass, but on ball he's had some problems.

and are pretty much the persona of this team. Teams usually reflect their leaders. And Bost is the senior point guard leader of this team. He's had great nights, and bad nights and everything in between - just like our team. He sometimes gets a little lazy with the ball, and lately has been gassed at the end of most games. But when he's on, he's one of the best PGs, not only in the SEC, but in the country.

Dee has done nothing but bust his *** this year. Unfortunately our team always runs out of gas. Also, our offense causes him to run around in circles foran entire possession while the rest of the team stands still. He also plays 35 minutes a game. Sometimes he doesn't have enough left in the tank and it's really not his fault. I don't criticize Dee. I don't criticize Hood. I don't criticize Steele. I criticize the fat bastard, the clueless head coach, and theyes sir assistants.

You got your *** handed too you twice by Hickey.... It would also help if our team had a coach that was worth a **** in game preparation and in-game coaching...

Whether you like Calipari or not, you had to be able to see that Kentucky was well prepared for their game against us. They had defensive keys for specific players, like Sidney and Steele. They knew who they were playing. They knew what they wanted to do, and they executed their game plan. That's a combination of preparation by the coaching staff and buy in from the players to execute it. That's coaching. Calipari may be the king of the one and done's, but he knows what he's doing when the game starts and the players buy into his ability. It might just be me, but I don't ever see either from our team.
