Deep Run should walk TJ! TJ hasn't played s very competitive schedule, not to discount what they have done. Best season the'ye both had in a long time. It should be a good game.

They played & beat one of the top D2 teams in the state,on the road,a couple weeks ago,but barely edged out GAllen the week before. I got DR by a few scores,but TJ WILL challenge that Defense of DR’s.

This really will not tell you much,because there is not a single team in D2 that could beat Deep Run. It’s hard to judge yourself by what you don’t have. Unless you have a 6’4- 220(he’s a huge kid) pound quarterback it’s hard to replicate that.

That top team is now like 6th and no where near a top 2a team.

They still traveled 2 hours(at least) to play a top 10 ranked team. They are playing & beating much larger schools,there in RVA too. They’re gonna be there in the end!

Agreed. They always play us tough. I expect them to throw everything they have at us. Our OC is preparing for that as well.

TJ will have to make it past the top dog in other division, i dont see that happening unless they can give DR a good run for the money.

The way they can score,I like their chances against any of the small schools.

TJ will be successful in 2A because of their stable of athletes. They are bigger than a lot of teams they’ll play and they are mentally tough. Can they stay disciplined is the only question I have.

but the reason they are C-2 is numbers
they have a little over 500 kids in the whole school
and half are girls
most of their boys have to play both ways
This is a nice end of the season game but will not affect their ranking
they will be #1 in their region no matter what.

True, but it does effect their ranking. With a win and Stuarts Draft loss they would have home field throughout the playoffs

For the first time in school history, the Deep Run girls’ cross country team are STATE CHAMPIONS!! These girls displayed patience and perseverance throughout the season, and their belief was unwavering. It was never easy, but these girls should be so proud; they earned it! This one is truly for every girl who has worn and competed in a Deep Run XC uniform. You were the building block and foundation which made this weekend’s accomplishments possible

The boys’ cross country team had a great day as well, finishing runner up.
