Defense Against USCjr

What are we doing different tonight? Is it personnel or is it schematic? I know the opponent kind of sucks, but we gave up 42 to New Mexico State last week.

Worst offense in the country vs the worst defense. Something had to give and it appears to be them. Of course its not over yet so let's not talk too fast. We are still capable of blowing a coverage.

We aren't playing scared and our defense has been in the right position most of the game. More importany were pushing their offensive line back on running plays. We're also blitzing a heck of alot more.

Now keep in mind this is a Muschamp offense we are fighting but to see this defense play with passion and confidence feels so much better

Well, USC offense won't be confused with Alabama, etc but I have to give the D credit. They're playing like they care about the outcome.

I agree, we haven't played defense this well since Melvin Lewis got hurt last year.

I would love to have both Hatcher and Lewis. But Lewis is trying to make his NFL dream happen. I believe he was waived by the Giants. You may have confused him with Reggie Meant who got kicked off out of no where right before the start of the season.

I would understand if SCar was as cupcake as NMSU, but we held these folks to 10 and they're comparable if not better.

We didn't pay great ball, but don't take anything away from the effort. Effort was clearly visible.

2nd half Defense was superb. Only allowed 90 yds in the 2nd.

Our defense played USC better than Vandy and ECU, and almost as well as MSU. I realize that USC has an atrocious offense, but I think we are getting better.
